If SQ is your focus, step up to the Q instead of modding the SSD too much.

The Q does not need that much power, but does not hurt.

Personally, not sure, because the SE's are meant for daily driving fun, not peaky SPL.

A pair of IDQ's in a nice box is a good idea. Other driver suggestions; pair of AA Assassins, Pair of Fi X, AA Arsenal, Crystal CMP, RL-i. As always the install has more effect then the equipment.

Welcome to SSA. Both the ICON and the Q, when put in a well built box with clean power, can give a very clean sound. The Sundown 1500 is a solid choice. Are you dealing with any depth or space issues?
