  1. Hi Tyroneshoes, welcome to SSA. A ICON 12D1 sounds like the better option for you if you want to stay with a 2 ohm load. The claimed 725 watts is plenty for the ICON, many people are sending well into 1200 watts to them but it is not needed honestly. As for the MASS 12, I have not played with or owned one to give a fair comparison. But I can tell you this, the ICON excels at the lowest octaves, where it might give up some ground to its competitors on peak out put higher up, it passes them on the deepest of notes. The sound has been described as smooth and laid back, and a few reviews had mentioned that it blends well with the front stage. If you can go with the larger end of the spectrum on box size you will be good to go. My personal favorite for the 12 sealed is 1.1 with some stuffing. Hope that helps.
  2. Since the 8's are still not ready and ported might hurt the over all sound, why not go a single RL-i 10 sealed?
  3. My RL-p 12 has a little rust on the back. Some good metal cleaner got much of it off.
  4. Ok great choice on amp! I don't know much about the new Eclipse subs so I cannot comment on it. And I will let someone else how has more experience with Alpine take the components. But so far looks like a nice clean system.
  5. Thats going to be nuts.
  6. Welcome to SSA and we look forward to helping out.
  7. Liking the morels.
  8. How about some pictures Neil?
  9. Something like that.
  10. Do you have a budget? Also, I think the goal is to see what driver combination will use the power you have at hand in the best way.
  11. Triple S has a nice ring to it. All this gun talk is alien to me.
  12. The final single driver design is pretty cool. Going to need another 18".
  13. Aaron Clinton posted a topic in US AMPS
The updated USAmps.com website is up. It is missing some info and some specs, and that video of the girl talking about the amps is gone. Very attractive site, just needs much more data still. Edit, I just found the TeamSSAudio.com link still up, it is under the partners button.
  14. That is along the lines I wanted to do with my MJ.
  15. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...p?showtopic=141 thanks, I tried searching for it. I even typed in "T/S Parameters" and it didn't find anything All that stuff is in the Advanced Topics or Tech Info section now. We had too many stickeys.
  16. From my experience, the L7 8's and 10's are tough little buggers. I think the juiced up BTL will handle more power. For a blow through install like what you are talking about, usually larger amounts of 15"s or smaller subs get it done. But then again I have not worked on them, only heard them.

  20. Why can't you keep your car and your bother get a replacement?
  21. I worry with the engine bay being that condition, if the owner appreciate all the time and effort Steve has put into this thing and the unreal equipment that is in it.
