The voice coil arrangement has something to do with it, and there has not been any really high power installs that are tuned high for a peak freq. to get the most output from them. Their advantage is the sheer cone size, but they are a smooth and clear sub that like mark said was not meant to be a high output sub.

I am not really bitching about it. Just really surprised that since this is the flagship car of the biggest auto maker in the world, the quality would be much better. Believe me, I do not doubt the performance, in forward thrust this is one of the op three cars I have been in. I have not driven it on curvy roads yet to push the handling. Maybe if they spent some of that monstrous, constantly in your face add budget on fit and finish and materials, things would be different.

Those Cadence amps are great for the price.
