  1. Door is mid level, body grommet is up high. But the problem is that it has plastic clips that hold it to the door and the body at the end and they are only large enough in ID to fit the stock tiny gauge wire and no more. Might have to getto it up some how.
  2. I am not that dedicated to this install.
  3. These are the two shots I just took of the door and the space where I cannot get wire through.
  4. I should go take a pic real fast of the door I started to take apart yesterday. I found out that there is no way to fit 2 runs of 12 gauge wire through the rubber cable sleeve between the door and the body frame, not to mention I don't have the motivation to pull the dash to get to the grommet to feed the wire through to the door . Not sure what I am going to do to get around it. Be right back. You don't need 12 ga which should solve the problem. I have a roll of 16, but that is not going to make a difference. You can see how I cannot go through the body unless I pull the dash.
  5. SPL for the season, now I dont have an SPL specific driver, but could always build the new box for ease of swapping in an spl box for fun.

  7. But the draw of a place like DIYMA is that the members are above average The ones that have been there a while anyways, generically speaking the average is falling quickly My concern is that it will turn into a crapaudio where there are a few great members but the great majority of the responses that aren't from them will be questionable. Considering how little people will pipe up when this happens that site could really go down the drain quickly. Part of the reason I call people out, I can't stand that chit. Well if CSO is dieing off, DIYma is not as good, ECA has gotten too esoteric for its own good, where does that leave people that want to learn? Funny too since DIYMA is pretty elitist and really only helpful if you already know what you are doing. I really appreciate the wealth of testing data on the site, but on some level that would just confuse people on most sites anyways. So for people that want to learn they should go to caraudio.com or the caraudioforum. Great info there. I only trust about 5 people on CAF for info, and 3 of them are named Warbleed.
  8. So if it has too look nice to sound good, and has to look like poo to get loud.. what am I doing with the Civic? SQ system that looks like poo.

  10. So who wants to do a quadruplet of Assassin 8s for me to listen to?
  11. That doesn't really matter that much. As long as the board isn't like Audio Asylum and just uses a bad format to begin with, fancy graphics or skins just make the pages slower to load. I know, but it can become very boring to the average member, same old same old, thats all.
  12. Silly busy servers.
  13. Pantera? Going to need a crap ton of deadening for that, hehe.
  14. Well I will have to order 2 rolls probably for the short term. If I can ever get back to the mercedes I will easily need 4 more.
  15. They have done nothing to spice up the place, no graphics or skins or special sections or groups etc.
  16. Well you have to keep in mind, I am coming from SUV's and larger cars. This is Amanda's old car, and I am keeping it for my daily scooter, because the commute could very well be 107 miles (one way) for 6-18 months. So its much smaller then what I am used to, but much less stock sound deadening from the factory. The car already struggles with me, 3 amps and an ICON in it.
  17. DIYma is not laid out well, they need more sections. The main section is too cluttered.
  18. Sorta pondering if 62^2 is going to be enough to deaden the civic.......
  19. Hurts to see a nice car fudged up.
  20. They sound external, but I don't know for sure.
  21. Title edited for accuracy.
  22. Might depends on what wattage you are running, 2k is too much for the SSD. 500 might not be enough for the BTL.
