  1. On this day in 1957, Ford Motor Company introduced the Edsel. In 1956, the IBM RAMAC 305, the first commercial computer to use magnetic disk storage, was introduced. In 1951, the first live transcontinental television broadcast took place in San Francisco, California, from the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference. In 1949, the Bristol Brabazon took its maiden flight. In 1923, the first U.S. airship, the USS Shenandoah, took its maiden flight. And in 1888, George Eastman registered the trademark Kodak and received a patent for his camera that uses roll film. 2. Ryan good luck with becoming a daddy.
  3. Very nice, any chance on a review for the review section?
  4. What matters in the end is your satisfaction.
  5. i actually like running real fill and 6x9s do the trick for me....i mean chit some of us like having people in the car and feel that you cant have big subs on all of the damn time....i turn off my subs and just enjoy a real nice overal sound stage...but its all personal pref i guess. So where in your stage do the rears fit??? Exactly, nowhere. As for your big subs comment obviously you need a tuning lesson. If you can ever localize your subs they aren't tuned right or you are a basshead. Also, 6x9's are a joke. Yes I do realize there are some that are decent but if you arbitrarily select 100 different 6x9's there might be one pair that is actually worth a chit. It is the most underdesigned speaker shape there is. Components will generically smoke them in output and clarity across the board. PS. I also like having people in my car and truck and to this day no-one has ever complained about the lack of rear speakers in fact it is quite the opposite. I get comments from the back seat all the time amazed at how clean sounding and loud my system plays. im not going to get into a big war on this board because i see how you feel on this subject....there is nothing i can say here that would change the "experts" on this board... but what you are trying to say here is very wrong....yes just having a front stage only sounds good and people that dont really know audio will think its the best....its all personal pref in the end since it is your car....but to try and psuedo flaim me because rear fill is what i like and i happen to think its vital to a system is total bs. im not going to keep this flaim shyt going because its pointless you're right and im wrong....*cries* but if this kid or any other member on here that wants to go and seek advice from real car audio experts that build, compete and have won many world & regonal titles over the years....just head on down to the carsound board and see what the other side of the street has to say about system installs....those are great guys there and they dont try and spit the gospel to you...its just a group of guys that have been the recognized leaders and in the mobile sound field for the past 25 years.. Do me a favor, do not come to this forum and give a back handed insult to some very skilled and experienced people then promote another forum. IF you know what ///M5 does for a living and the caliber of equipment he uses on a daily basis, you might listen to him more. The end point of this argument is, that if this guy wants to spend money on rear fill speakers thats fine, all the while he could see better results by putting that money into a better front stage that were suggested by a good number of people here. It is not gospel, it is proven facts, in addition they are not spitting anything, especially when someone is asking for help. I have been to numerous competitions over the years, and not one major SQ competitor that I have seen ran a rear fill that I can remember.
  6. I agree with Scott, 400w is plenty, is it enough for you? That is for you to decide.
  7. Keep the pictures coming along.
  8. They are on my wish list.
  9. Out put is based on the install. You can get the Q very loud if you want, and you can choose options to fit your needs.
  10. Steve, how many man hours do you have into this build?
  11. I know I am biased, but the best mixture of quality and power, the Sundown wins hands down.
  12. If the birthsheets are spot on or pretty close, you still are getting a really good dollar per watt ratio.
  13. I know we try to stay away from quoting from other forums, but Michael, the new guy that was brought in to reshape and head up the shift at TC to dealer base, posted this two long posts on CAF very recently. These are from a topic where someone called up TC and asked for prices and help, but got Michael...... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes I have read this thread and all it's posts, and I must relay my thoughts and disgust for those who are not man enough to go directly to the source of their problem and find it necessary to bash others with trash talk in a forum,,, 1. my phone is always open (858) 622-1212 2. if you have a prob with me or what I say OR WITH MY COMPANY, I think and believe that you should confront me like a man and state your case, any other avenue is offensive and considered by us to be in some form a violation of our right to defend ourselves in private conversation, making public these conversations will do nothing other then make you look idiotic, and more importantly misinformed. 3. my comments were relayed on this forum completely out of context and I would now like to clarify for all why we found it necessary to raise our prices substantially. 4. for many years TC Sounds has been mainly an OEM manufacturing facility and has had to maintain very competitive pricing structures to accommodate and support other manufacturers of world-class products, this is a very competitive business environment, and the pricing is solely based on volume. When TC decided to go direct with their products they did not adjust the pricing schedules to accommodate single driver production, in other words, the prices were perfect when producing hundreds or thousands of drivers in a single production run, but when you chop the lines and now have to deal with ones and twos of every model we make, the costs associated sky-rocketed for us and we were losing money on many occasions, we attempted to try batching the orders to create a better flow of production, but this simply resulted in delays and backorders,,, thus we decided to virtually discontinue our direct sales and we are launching several lines of products and several new divisions like AudioPulse for mobile audio, and these lines will be sold through dealers or retailers only. 5. alot of this information would and has been provided to anyone who asked, yet we still have to contend with the occasional irate and unreasonable customer that will hear nothing but "gimme what I want when I want it" and unfortunately for them this is not always possible. We have always prided ourselves in providing the world's finest products and have always taken excellent care of those who have continued to stick by us through thick and thin to acquire these world-class products, but you cannot please everyone all of the time, and this is just how it is in business though it pains us to see anyone not be completely satisfied with their experience with TC Sounds. 6. we have provided all, ample time to purchase our world-class products at the old, "give-away" pricing, yet some have continued to ignore our deadlines and continue to ask for the old prices, which caused us to compassionately extend our deadlines,,, WE DID THIS FOR YOU NOT OURSELVES, we wanted all to be able to take advantage of the deals we had offered in the past and simply didn't want anyone to miss out or feel slighted,,, we have struggled with this decision and again just wanted to return some of the loyalty that has been afforded us by you OUR CUSTOMERS,,, To nosduj directly, if you have a problem with me, you need to call or come by and see me and we can talk face to face, like men, you will find that this is not a valid way to solve issues in your life and would suggest finding a more mature way of handling yourself in the future. Best Regards to All, Michael Joseph TC Sounds Inc. AudioPulse (858) 622-1212 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry guys, I don't live on forums and have a social life, hell it was Saturday evening and isn't that prime time to play? Anyways, here is more information regarding who I am and what is happening to TC and it's newest division Audiopulse,,, first off, and foremost, I am growing tired of the misinformed pretending to have knowledge of what our products are worth or doubting our integrity. I will no longer entertain this line of questioning, if it's too rich for your blood, you're not obligated to buy our products, plain and simple, but attempting to question our corporate integrity is not a conversation I will validate with my time or a response. TC is an OEM manufacturing company, Audiopulse, it's new mobile audio division has chosen several of TC's best drivers, made several modifications and development changes to boldly and with absolute confidence, afford ourselves with the best and finest drivers on the market to date,,, when I state they are the world's best, I mean it, and can back it up, so only the ignorant and misinformed will from this moment on, question my integrity and sincerity. We are well informed of what our competitors are providing and what their prices are, and quite frankly, why shouldn't the best in the world command one of the highest prices. There are other drivers in every price range of our products and some even more expensive, so we feel our pricing is quite fair and reasonable, with one exception, our products, on every level outperform the competition. I do understand that the 12v community may be going through a level of "sticker-shock", but all I can add is our products were more than a bargain before and priced correctly now,,, I will continue to state, "Our products are not for everyone, and if you choose to own the best you will purchase your drivers and components from Audiopulse", simple as that, it is a choice and if you elect to buy other products, the car that blows you away will be running Audiopulse, period. This is not arrogance, it is absolute confidence in what we provide to the market and qualified knowledge of what our competitors are selling you,,,, WE CAN BACK UP EVERYTHING WE SAY,,, and have always been a company with integrity and committed to designing and developing the world's best products, end of discussion. TC will be selling off their stock directly to the public but as these products are still the world
  14. We have needed this for a while, makes the ICON available to more people.
  15. We are one of a very few authorized internet US Amps dealers, so shoot us an email if you are interested.
  16. The ICONs now have the option for dual 1 ohm voice coils. This should make a bunch of people happy who wanted one but had a 2 ohm amplifier.
  17. This deal was a big hit, but it is now over, so topic closed.
  18. If SSA had not grown so big and become a great information resource, I could see having a flame room, but don't feel comfortable about doing it now.
  19. Scott, if you want me to adjust your post count, shoot me a PM.
