  1. If the budget was larger I would shamelessly say the ICON, or add in the Q 10, but they won't make it under.
  2. Kid is getting ridiclous, but its ok Neil shut him down pretty well. Kid makes an "opinion" based off of unequal circumstances and then comes out and says he is against the ICON because of my sig. If you wait long enough, people like that will mess up on their own.
  3. On this day in 1978, Charon, a satellite of the dwarf planet Pluto, was discovered. In 1969, the Cuyahoga River caught fire, triggering a crack-down on pollution in the river. In 1918, a circus train wreck killed 86 and injured 127 near Hammond, Indiana. In 1783, a poisonous cloud from Laki volcanic eruption in Iceland reached Le Havre in France. 4. Matt, as I am not quite the chef I think I am, I can best say to start focusing on caloric intake. That is what it all comes down to, how much and where is it coming from. If you are working on gaining muscle mass and losing weight, it is going to be a tough battle to do both at the same time effectively. You are naturally burning calories as you work out, but you need to pack on the protein and take in a great deal of calories to really build up the mass. I know of a few guys, that when in bulking stages are eating everything they can find as often as they can. They need to provide substance for their muscles to build from. One point of advice is the little things make a difference over time. Like no more regular soda, or switching Turkey in for any time you eat steak. Boil up a ton of chicken breasts and try to eat them as much as you can on main meals. Put in tuna and cottage cheese or yogurt often. If you can shift more calories toward the beginning of the day, the less you take in at dinner the less that is sitting in your stomach while you are sleeping.
  5. I have the textile dome version of those, but have not had the chance or time to start cutting up the civic doors yet.
  6. Nice Kent. That thing needs an RL-i 8 recessed into the tank!
  7. Nice and low Fs and nice QTS for many different enclosures.
  8. I guess I could shoot a video, would be off my digital camera so the quality and length will be low. I need to build a box that will help reduce some of the impedance rise, so if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.
  9. Looks good, did you mention the enclosure size?
  10. My cars don't go bump, the civic goes raaaaattle raaaattle clank the explorer goes kerrrrunck keerrrunck tink the sled goes thummmmppa thummmmppa and the 528i does not make much noise since there is no sub.
  11. If you have some to play around with, it might be worth a try. I have seen many different types of materials go into HA enclosures, so you could give it a shot and tell us how it worked.
  12. HDB crownbread and bszkitsgreyyveee
  13. Doug Stockton was the owner of sonic fx. he is also the official db drag multi point judge on the west coast. the site is still there, http://www.sonicfxaudio.com/ but is now only used for his DB Drag shows, i belive he stopped making woofers about a year ago. Thats a shame, I had wondered.
  14. Very nice review, seems like a great all around driver.
  15. Sundown secksi-time surfboard. p.s. wonder if the build house could do a special 2 3k's under one heat sink.
  16. Nick its still there. Idiots think Kent either owns SSA or is paid by us. Unreal the level of knowledge sometimes, and I have to really hold back, even when I have to repeat myself more then once. I think he did a fair review, showed the strong and weak points of the sub. Which works out great because the T/S lend themselves to the outcome Kent had. Very clean response, with average output sealed, and a different beast ported.
  17. Nope, that's not even close. Italian?
  18. It does have a strong bottom end, which is a nice touch since most SPL drivers that I have played with are peaky and seem to be lacking on the lower daily driving music.
  19. I have been testing the previous prototype in dbDrag. It is holding up just fine and doing decent numbers. The down fall is I don't have nearly enough power to put this thing to the near braking point. It actually had decent clarity for being a monster SPL sub, when I had it installed in a 2.0 @27 hz box.
  20. I will let Nick or Shawn or Scott field that question.
