FI BTL vS. RF T2
2 15's will have cone advantage, but to get the most out of the BTL your going to need more then 1000 watts. You could almost go with a pair of Q 15s or BL 15.

Current build, SRT-4
The plexi bottom is on it (not the original, though) but I didn't have the depth available to mount it plexi out (which is a PITA to do also) and have enough space between the heatsink and mounting board to get airflow in there to cool it. It looks like there is a ton of room there but the Sundown and the processor still have to go in and have to clear the back seat. Cool, I agree. It was apain in the arse mounting Daves ms1000 plexi up . He told me it took 90 minutes to get it in.

Spend a few dollars and get a decent amp off ebay or the classifieds and run it. Makes a world of difference.

What to look for in an SQ sub
To me SQ is subjective. Jim will like a certain driver more then me, I will like a certain driver more then you, and you will like a 3rd more then Jim. It is all relative to the install and your preference.

Budget amp for 8" Sub
I am biased because SSA sells the amp, but I am still not sure what the VC config of the sub is. If you wanted to go lower power and still have a top end amp, the gladius is a choice. But for a 4 ohm mono need and quality amp, the Orion is more then enough.
