Pick up the PG bass cube instead. The epicenter was designed for old recordings where there was a good deal of bass lost in the recording, where as a Bass Cube deals with the bass that is in the recording, which no a days is much better. I owned the epicenter, and loved it, but the PG unit is the better unit for most applications

Yes those were ZED built. They are some of my favorite amplifiers period. I still look for them from time to time. As for original cost, I don't remember off hand, but I believe is was in the $500 range.
