  1. the trio would be fun, as for load on the amp, shane might know best
  2. yeah, its the one in my avatar next to my pup, basicly logoless MAG
  3. chit, I'd grab it no matter what. While everyone else is paying attention to the passenger(s), here's Ryan lifting that bish into the ToreAss. wonder if we could modify the drive line on the V12 and bolt that sucker right up in the cobra, trans already sits behind it, just tricky with shifting linkage most original install ever!!!
  4. wow man what all did you buy? I take it the tax return is gone
  5. nope, don't think I have the loot for 16 10's at the moment
  6. I have no experience with the new line, it does not have a release date yet that I know of, and as for the MAG 15 vs the MAG 12, I have not tested the 15, but I can only imagine top notch SQ with greater output than the 12
  7. what do you mean? the new line that is coming out? or the prototype MAG from a few months back?
  8. Mike would probably know better than I on this, not sure if he has tested it sealed with some polyfill at that size enclosure
  9. when I tested the MAG 12D2, it was in a 2.0 cube @ 28hz LOVED it
  10. from my experience, subs when placed in large sealed boxes tend to have lower power handeling, I know the RL-p is a strong sub, but its specs favor ported boxes so I am not sure how it will react going large sealed, or tricking it into large sealed
  11. not sure how it will react sound wise, but I worry about power handling
  12. M5rice, M5iedrice, Mmm5iedrice, Mmmfriedrice
  13. can you imagine coming down the road and seeing a limited run Ferrari V12 sitting on the side of the road mangled up and the car not being around it?
  14. oh for sure, and I think the new CVX (aka L6) is filling the gap that was left behind from the original solo
  15. Aaron Clinton replied to 60ndown's topic in SoundSplinter
wow that is odd, nothing like getting more out of your RL-p
  16. no problem, the RL-s has some excellent tech behind its design, and Mike is a perfectionist when it comes to his drivers, and as many can attest from the RL-s demo, it was unreal in the SQ department, but just needed goobs of power and space to get the output they desired
  17. is it from a reputable seller? and are they new or used? warrenty? That is much lower than I paid for mine (new from dealer), you honestly do not need that much power but the RL-p loves 1200 watts from my experience, so this way you will be sending it plenty of power. if you go the Orion route, be careful with the gains. I have 3 Orion amps from the 2005 model line up, all are very nice and big power.
  18. the level of quality and performance (not to mention customer service) is light years ahead on SI equipment, Nick at stereo integrity (and his crew) worry about the performance of the product and not just trying to sell as many as possible. I tested the MAG 12 myself, and it is VERY clean in sound and does not need gobs of power for daily driving. If you need help with box design, there are plenty of people here to help.
  19. welcome to SSA, I am not positive but I believe that a member did a direct drop in of a MAG into an SX install and the MAGs were louder, the SX is a great street level SPL driver from all accounts, I have seen a good amount in the smaller classes as of recent do very well, but SQL the MAG is the clear choice
  20. oh, and the RL-p's level of SQ is damn nice in my experience, I would not be working on an SQ install (possible competition) with it if it did not sound very pleasing to my ears, don't get me wrong, I would absolutly love an RL-s 15 in about a 6 cube box and a US Amps AX2000 pushing it, heck I day dream about having one in my future home theatre project, but for this situation the RL-ps are the way to go
