Rumors that the next Speed3 will be AWD, especially if the EVO does not return. If so, they can take my money now. No shit!? Any more info?? I wonder if it will be Haldex or another Ford design. No set details yet. I think it was leaked as a teaser to gauge interest. Regardless, they need to make it AWD, as once you go 300hp, it is silly to be FWD IMO. Yes, and it was a bit dated as well. They need to quit bull shitting anyways and just get it done. I am fighting myself to not buy a used Speed3 as it is now. Drive one, then go drive a Focus ST. You won't want anything to do with the Mazda. What makes it worse is a new ST is the same price as a 2-year-old Speed 3. Or 3. I don't remember if 11 or 12 was the last year. The comparisons I have read and watched, seem to make the Speed3 more of what I am after. As for used, I was more so considering Gen1, but who knows. Putting CAMs in the P5 is not something I should be doing if I am ready to spend my money on another car.

I personally have not pulled the boards out of my amps to see the back. Some parts are assembled in California before the amplifiers are shipped out. Chances are Stephen won't see this, but I can ask the next time I talk to him. But I would not be surprised based on what Sean said above.

We cannot rethink our pricing as our costs are already high as it is, and will be going up shortly, yet this whole time pricing has stayed the same (essentially went down a pinch went we offered FREE SHIPPING). There is a reason why there are so few actual SSA dealers. I have not heard an Ethos to speak on it and as far as I know, they are quite different drivers. So outside of similar power ratings, it is hard to compare the two. The DC and DSS subs are not related in any way outside of being round.

Are you feeding all 4 inputs on the master Minotaur? I am still surprised on the output as I know the Minotaur prefers a lot of signal voltage and as Stephen said "by running the RA, you are already cutting that voltage in 1/2 and all 4 inputs on the Minotaur need to be fed". So I am curious as to how much voltage each Minotaur is seeing since they are daisy chained. Nice amp choice.

J.C. makes some good points, as they are not the same and yes over time the Xcon has evolved gradually. Far more so than any other SSA sub. Yes, the motor force is different due to the soild pole now, the cooling is different as it is not being vented by the pole and the suspension (if still original on the senior model) is different as the spider packs have been tweaked over time. But, they are not so different that they cannot work together in a shared chamber enclosure. Meaning, they have become different over time, but not so different that they are totally unrelated and cannot work well together. They both still have the same coil, nearly the same moving mass, very similar suspension compliance, same top plate and same massive single slug. If this was the Icon or Dcon for example, due to the complete change in the motors, those models are somewhat farther apart in the generation gap. Where as the Xcon has been an evolution, not a generational jump if that makes sense.

Most modern cars off isn't off. Need track button or the like. I have to remind myself on track days to hold the TCS button for 5 seconds to fully turn it off, if not it is only partially off.

Iron block 2.3 Turbo that can take a ton of boost. If there is a rust free body, a donor 5 speed and a new electrical harness, it would be a fun mess around car. There is a guy local with a few and he tracks one that is just brutally fast. It might be forced into a classics class as it thumps some of the other more modern 4 cylinder 2 doors in the CDC. Iron head too. Too bad they're so damn heavy though. I love the Lima for it's never quit durability, but I still favor the Duratec, especially the 2.5 V6 which has a lot of "influence" from Cosworth. Have you tinkered on a Speed3 engine?
