  1. when did you order it?Early Feb. Loldamn I hope I dont have to wait that long.Probably not. It probably got forgot or something. Don't know if iv even had a sub take this longNothing was forgotten, they are just flat out slammed and working 16-17 hour days to get caught up.have you guys ever considered adding a couple more build houses for times like this? or maybe stocking up and prebuilding some subs before busy season? or maybe offer where you buy all the parts and assemble the sub yourself? lol idk just a thought Because our speakers are made to order in the USA, in one location with a pair of engineers that are some of the very best period, we keep our manufacturing with them. The issue is, the constantly rising costs of materials and rising costs of building in the USA, the money is not there to grow a larger build house, and the profit is not there, not to mention the undertaking to even attempt that. What that means, is there is more demand than man power, and less profit than man power to keep up with demand. So there is no way, in the current situation, unless we raise prices to where they should be in the first place, that we could be stocking or pre-building. People want top end, premium American made subwoofers for near Chinese made prices. So something has to give. Lastly, we are not going to have an assemble yourself subwoofer, new, with the SSA logo on it. That would be untold amounts of issues for even less profit. I appreciate the input, but unless people are suddenly willing to pay for what SSA subwoofers are really worth, we do not have the option to have a large stock or expand the build house. In simple terms: "Fast, Great, Cheap, pick two."

  3. I am opening this topic back up, and posting in it again, to show the unreal depths we go when it comes to customer service even when we made nothing from it. After the record shattering amount of emails and FB messages that burned endless (and now wasted) hours, that were accompanied by numerous non-sensical voicemails on our main office phone (all the while knowing Mark was not there to answer it due to being on the road for SBN), followed by a totally unwarranted Paypal claim, which was instantly followed by an absolutely off the reservation BBB claim, I just got off the phone with the Maryland Attorney General's office. The woman handling the claim there, had received a truck load of convoluted and again, non-sensical faxes in regards to this one order. She was so happy to talk to me and glad that she didn't have to deal with this customer, along with happy we are many states apart for worry as to the capacity of what this person might try to pull. Wishing me the best and that we never have to deal with someone like this again. So at this point, with the paypal charge back, the whole ordeal is done in the eyes of the BBB and the State of Maryland. What a tremendous waste of time and stress. Sadly, I don't think he is done as he is acting as if we had done him some tragic wrong doing to go so out of control like this. Back to taking care of our normal customers.
  4. I hope the frankensub fad dies off soon.
  5. I wonder what language they post in.? Those Mofos are annoying Half the time it's some cyrillic language. Copy/paste into google translate it lol. In mother Russia, bots Spam YOU!
  6. Love partial drawings, makes for a lot of assumptions. Why the fuck can't the structural and archectural world move to 3D damn it!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Some of your play by play is cracking me up. Thanks again for picking the Evil!
  8. Shit balls. The amount of paper work I have to keep track of and sumbit for SSA and personal taxes is just unreal.
  9. Power handling does not always equate to price. The SSA Dcon is close to your budget.
  10. Why thank you. As for the enclosure type, the Xcon does perform well sealed. But, if you want to step up the output, you can see plenty of people are suggesting going ported. I am not sure where the hiccup in the system is. SDS will help, I know it did in my little wagon. Do you know if the recone was done at our build house or by the person you bought the subwoofer from? The guy I got it from claimed it was brand new, and it sure looked like it. But who knows for sure other than he? I was going to go ported pretty soon, but now I'll be sending it in for a recone myself as I killed it. Sealed box kept me from smelling it heating up and I let the smoke out of it. I'm pretty sure it doesn't make a difference in what is going on here, but it is an early model with the pole vent. I assume sending it in for a recone wouldn't be a problem? Reconing is no worry, http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/categories/recones.html check the send it in option.
  11. Wish I have heard more of the listed subs to give an accurate reply.

  13. I am closing this topic, as I am done dealing with the insane amount of effort (and stress) that has gone into this one order. The BBB claim has been addressed, the paypal charge back has already yanked the money from our account. Neal said it best, it is not worth it anymore and not worth risking such a nice SSA sub in this customers hands.
  14. I know there is a good chance Neil will not come on, but happy birthday.
  15. What car brand do you prefer? I don't even know anymore.
  16. After over 100, yes you read that right, 100 emails/facebook messages, numerous times asking over and over again to respond with a simple answer of what he would like the order changed to, I get a paper from the Better Business Bureau complaining we did not answer the phone. Mind you, I told him over and over that Mark was away at SBN and that I could answer every question via email no problem, but yet he continued to keep calling in and complaining that no one was answering the phone. But, the long nonsensical emails just kept raining in, from Mike, his son, their friend and some shop that was helping him out. This was with out a doubt, a perfect example of the customer is not always right. Never have I ever poured out so much customer service to one order for one speaker for one customer, absolutely unreal. Then has the audacity to do a charge back and a BBB claim.
  17. Thank you.
  18. No way on earth, I could ethically buy a Chevy. To think I was considering used vette's.
  19. Alton needs to be bumped up to the tech team.
  20. Mine was due last week of September 2013, and I have lost my patients and no longer care about being quite or nice about it.
  21. The Fi X is an excellent choice. Most people lean ported with SA-12's, but that does not mean they don't perform sealed. Qts is a good starter, but that is not the only factor. There is a lot more to the story when it comes to enclosure alignment. I am obviously biased towards the SSA Gcon, but for good reason.
  22. nice man.. so how did u decide on a bl? I had a btl n3 and a team fi 15 and no offense but ill never EVER own another fi product.. and if I dont like this zcon.. which I dont see how I couldnt. but I think imma roll with ol dss.. everything ive seen from Q seems to be legit. Port it with a really well built box, and it will be just about impossible to dislike a Zcon. SSA and SSA subs have been around a good while now for a reason. Our strongest marketing is word of mouth as that is how most customers find us.
  23. Then they were used or new and already bought. These are being built by Sundown and shipped to you. What Sean said. I am updating every order the instant we have tracking.
  24. That would be batshit!!!
  25. Looks good, nice number and love the Dcon's.
