  2. Anyone seen KU40 recently?
  3. Stefan, that should be sweet. I always find hopped up Volvos interesting.
  4. Very nice choice.
  5. Jus Jack and Black Dogs One Day At a Time [Hard Rock Sofa Club Mix]
  6. Mini system cleanse?
  7. I fixed it for you. I'd much rather have, for example, ZED > Sony. Current product lineups, sure. But Sony has a ton of amps in their history which are very high quality pieces of engineering using very high quality parts and construction. Hell, some of them still sell for several grand a piece....someone just posted a build log on here using a pair of them. With the engineering capabilities and capital of Sony they could dominate again fairly easily if they chose....the quantity and margins just aren't there in that market anymore, likely more profitable for them to stick with the more entry level gear they presently offer. Very well said, this is an example when bean counters over power the enthusiasts at the company. I can't remember who had some of the old Mobile-ES units. Heck, people forget the pure gain blocks from Pioneer.
  8. I used to follow Cadence, and loved some of the older amps. Heck the A7HC is one of my all time favorites. Anyway, there were a number of years where in my opinion, I feel they really cheap'ed out and the quality dropped big time. They spent too much time on appearance and not enough on quality. Now, like shizzon said, they seemed to have improved in recent years. I think I still have a Z800C in my stock pile.
  9. Oh, forgot to say welcome to SSA. BigJon and SteveMead have held a few SSATexas meets and every seems to have a great time from what I see. I admit, I need to make a trip down and meet the Texas crew in person, just not sure when I will be able to.
  10. Best post I have seen in a while.
  11. Good luck!
  12. Looking forward to this build.
  13. The original Xcon did have a pole vent. But to gain a more steel in the motor, and increase cooling capacity, we moved to a solid pole vent with the Axial cooling. Beautiful 10's you got there.
  14. 275 for working bench sets today, only to follow that up with a nice back tweak during dead lift.
  15. Sean has experience with our sub's so he is a good voice of input.
