  1. It will be similar. The Icon and Xcon lean a little larger then average, Zcon some what down the middle, and Dcon on the smaller side. That is in terms of daily driver enclosures, the Zcon can put up something serious in a tiny peaky box, and the Icon and Xcon's are happy in smaller to average size enclosures as well. I'm running a bit larger than normal for my icons, about 3.2 cu ft. They do fine for me. Xcons should be fine in that, Aaron? Should be, will know for sure soon.
  2. Do it to it.
  3. Brad is correct, the overall difference is minimal. We provide a range and if people can fit the larger sizes to pick up a pinch of efficiency, then great. If not (as said above) the smaller size is also very good, especially for the Dcon as it is very at home in smaller ported enclosures.
  4. In Europe, your Fords look like this: and this:
  5. Congrats Adrian. You have plenty of places to stay if and when you make it over here.
  6. Don't sweat it, we know "yous gotz dis!"
  7. I promise you, they are building at full tilt, as in 7 days a week with help flown in to catch up, I would know as I am on the phone usually every day with them to find out. We (SSA) had a number of recones that had to go out because they came in first, and a number of orders will be going out shortly. We have put so many things on the back burner just to focus on current orders.
  8. 8/8: 30 mins - Elliptical 5 mins - bike high intensity 2 games ultimate frisbee 8/9: 35 mins - Elliptical 8/10: 35 mins - precore 8/11: 35 mins - elliptical
  9. GL Matt, we are pulling for you.
  10. I have put the Phd on hold, and that is a better bike, a more expensive car and far better TV then I own.
  11. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  12. Knees are sore from soccer last night, but no more then ultimate. Just need to get my power back and my foot skills back up. Was good to be back playing again.
  13. So much of how the 187 will sound and preform in the upper range, is dependent on the enclosure and the system settings. I am surprised you have not looked at the Fi X also. Honestly, much like many of the other experienced members in this thread, I have rarely run a sub woofer above 70hz. My most recent active install, my sub did not come in until 53hz or so, and depending on the song, I could cut it off down until 40hz. But that had a great deal to do with the install and the front stage. My old RF mid's (5.25") ran well down to 65hz or so with out issue, Mach5 MLI's went down to 40hz, AA cabons about the same, etc. etc..
  14. I would like to know where you are "hearing" all these sweeping opinions from, because you keep saying you hear this and hear that, and I am active on countless forums and have seen nothing of the sort. I don't know of more then maybe 3 or 4 people who have actually heard both the 187 and the Dcon, and I highly doubt more then a couple have heard them in the same install under the same conditions. What I am getting at is you are basing your decision over a few dollars and hersay which is the wrong way to go about it. Yes, my bias is towards the Dcon, but for objective reasons too.
  15. We have not had any requests for them that I know of. Mark might have some old ones from a while back, not positive. And it would probably be "TeamSSAudio".
  16. Image is not loading for me.
  17. Not being critical of AQ, but they are playing to their demographic. Meaning, the younger crowd that cares less about a smoother or flatter response and tend to not even worry about true low end response, as all they care about is louder for cheaper not caring at all about where the driver is made. So the higher suggested tuning is naturally going to peak higher and going to sound louder to the ear to the younger crowd as louder is all that matters in their show off to the friends contest.
  18. So for my needs would you suggest the SDC or 187? Reason I dont want the Dcon is I heard the "lower mid bass" isnt that great on it. My setup is 5.25 components and a sub. The rears will stay stock and probably be turned down. So with those speakers, im expecting the midbass to be pretty weak, if any at all. Hence the higher filter setting. I just want something that sounds good, or better than the avg. stock system. I'm not looking for an insane SQ system or an SPL system. I just want to upgrade my car's system and have something that will work well with both rock and rap. Keep in mind I'm limited on cost, my budget for the whole system is 600 and I only have 300 to spend on a sub/amp. I would love to see who said that. The Dcon is the only one of the three that is made here, and has STELLAR reviews and feedback in countless different installs, to me the choice is really obvious regardless of my bias.
  19. We use it on rare occasion, such as a few slightly used drivers from a few shows out of Mark's truck.
  20. Your order was updated with tracking, Fi cannot always custom build with-in that time (way too many orders), and in a few different places I think we explained that Sundown was behind due to so many SA-8's. There is nothing Mark and I can do to speed up their process, outside of getting on a plane to NC and helping.
