Welcome to SSA, glad you upgraded. In terms of your install, why do you feel you need to run so much power to your subwoofers? Just curious based on your initial post. The Fi BTL is a freak of a driver, and can have excellent sound in the proper install. The Xcon is also a great choice, but is much more of a finesse driver that has the ability to shred faces if needed. If sheer output is required, go for the BTL. Now the Zcon is fully prototyped and tested. The design of the Zcon requires an awful lot of steel, with that said, the build house only had enough to do a very small batch of them, until new American steel supplies are replenished. The few production versions that did get out to people, they are surpassing our design and performance requirements. With all that said, I suggest you nail down what are the real power needs for your install. When you stress accurate reproduction of the sound, and specifically mention a certain source that only is partially covered by the subwoofer, it is a little contradictory with so much power and cone surface, with out a balancing front stage.- Happy Birthday Don!!!
Happy Birthday sir, thank you for all your contributions to the SSA community. Turning 55 on the 5th day of the 5th month.- DCON 8D4

There is a topic on here, but would need dig for it.- DCON 8D4
There were a number of things that caused the Dcon 8 to get pushed back. We still plan to build them, it might be a bit longer. I still have the prototype, but we will have to address the final design when it is time.- Enclousre Build for stefanhinote (Two 15 Inch SSA Xcons)
