  1. Nick Morgan @NDMstang65 occasionally speaks south west VA to me, and I miss a few words on random occasion. Tennessee is a different language outside of Nashville (massive outside money flowing into Nashville, causing a construction boom). I did work on the road for a couple of years. Got a few "y'all ain't from 'round here are y'all?" when coming through the panhandle of Florida for example, or the Pennsylvania questions where they are worded as statements, but go up in pitch at the end, so it is very confusing as to if they are asking you something or telling you something. With a mother that is a doctorate in English, I was trained to have very formal and proper speech patterns and pronunciation, but from time to time a little bit slips, especially when not 100% sober. There is some Chicago, some Seattle, some Boston relatives on my mothers side, and I have not had enough contact with them to be effected.
  2. Thank you, I don't speak deep south fluently, mostly fighting to keep the NY/NJ/Philly out of my speech patterns and enunciation.
  3. Yes, the steady flow and the #SSAFamily (i've tagged it haha) keeps this forum going. Keep in mind, SSA is the only place that has a real store (in NY), a real online store, a massive forum (17 years old now), an actual brand, a FB page, twitter, IG etc. No one else has the all encompassing approach we do that I know of.
  4. CAF is almost dead. Kind of sad as it was one of the originals.
  5. I remember on the original Car Audio Resources (which we also own and I would like to get going again), in 2002 it was a big deal to have 5,000 posts. Haha.
  6. There is a big explosion of 4th orders and 6th orders as of late. Much of it is coming from cone area needs and the goal of having a hard peak in a small window (or bandpass). Many of these guys are doing it for demos. Some though are doing mega numbers as they are reaching different levels we did when we were doing this 20 years ago. With many magnitudes more motor force and 10x the power with ease, they are pushing limits I wasn't close to reaching. So a few guys I know are doing it also for a physical loading wall to help mechanical handling as thermal capacity of subs today are worlds greater than what they used to be. We had a guy out of Illinois/Florida, do a 6th order with 6 Zcon 15's. I was very impressed by the range of the enclosure. Yes, it was over 157db I think when full tilt, but the sound and smoothness in transition was better than the 4th orders at that same show.
  7. I will probably be at TDH, Ruckus, Slamology.
  8. Sean, that was your 71k post.
  9. Oh no. I am so sorry to see this. Glad you are ok.
  10. Thanks, but not last night. Came out flat and just couldn't get going. Didn't take a single shot.
  11. Nice progress, nice tweets, and nice amp.
  12. Burns a little more when you lose a 10pm game and you have to be at the office at 7am.
  13. There is kits for almost anything, but there will always need custom work to make shit fit or work correctly.
  14. Not going with anything. Zero time to take on a project like that.
  15. Yes, the engines are hard to get a hold of. Just easier to do an LS swap.
  16. I don't see vape sticking around all that long, at least in the Baltimore/DC area, its all but gone that I can tell. I almost never see anyone, outside of at a car audio show, with a vape. Well of the legal vape.
  17. Just fired off an email to him to say come check in.
  18. The I-6 is my favorite engine layout. I've owned 3 now.
  19. It would make 1st and probably 2nd gear kaput when the all seasons are on, but when if I can afford new fatties, then it would be a different story.
  20. Yes, daily go big. Competition, pinchypinch down and they bite hard for some sharp numbers with some serious power.
  21. Hum, I have another LLC that I could funnel some shiz through...
  22. Same amount of info as my other investment efforts. I use Stash also, its a little less info needed and does only ETF's so much less risk involved. Not to mention, they just started offering an ETF that is called Corporate Cannibus. Which means, I have been investing in Colorado for a little bit now. Haha. I get a kick out of it as it is low risk overall and super easy. Yes, the market is way the F down, but that means everything except Amazon is pretty much on sale.
  23. I'd love do to an LSX swap into my RX8. Making it almost unreasonable to drive.
