The Boss REV-665 is a solid, no frills amp. There are a few left brand new in box from a few years back that never made it to a distributor. Very hearty build and hefty heat sink. If you are looking for performance and don't care about the brand name sticker and care about what is inside, this is a nice option. This is essentially back when Boss still had a good reputation with good quality, American made products. I personally have one, and it is right in line with all the other older ZED built amps I have in my stock pile, well built, reliable and good power and controls. Would be a good option to the no-longer made Sundown SAX-50.4. Keep in mind due to these being an out of production model and the price, a warranty is not available. Any sound difference? Chances are not too much, but no way to know for sure until tested in your car. Honestly. 1.35 is plenty, if you want a little more out of it, you can always add a 1lbs. of polyfill.

Either really, usually with lower power, you can go larger for more efficiency. 1.35 is plenty, but if you would like to go up to 1.5 then go for it.

That is plenty of power. There was a member here running them at 500 watts for a while, and I ran a single 12 sealed in a 1.1 with my trusty little US Acoustics 2075 that puts out a whopping 240 watts at 4ohm mono.

That Sundown is a great option. We hope to have the Stetsom Venom line up on the SSA Store soon as there is a 500watt model that would also be great for this application.
