Trying adding a little info on what you are after in terms of goals. Personally I would go BTL regardless, but that does not help you any.

What he is asking, and what we aim for here, is to really define the goals in more concrete terms. Both set ups will get loud and have high output in the proper install. If you decide on the BTL, you should really decide if you actually need all the options or not. The SSD's are excellent sub woofers, especially for the money, and are usually more then enough for most every daily driver install. The BTL is one of the premier high output drivers available, that when installed to Fi specs and suggestions, can still have great reproduction.

The TDX's are nice sub woofers, but do not have the thermal capacity of the Xcon's last I checked, and not quite the Xmax either. The Xcon's will be a nice upgrade. We would suggest building or having a box built specifically for the Xcon's. What amplifier(s)?
