  2. To hit on a few of the things not answered already, box size wise, I think you will be ok but keep in mind you are at the smallest end of the spectrum of the suggested range. The Xcon's will play excellent in the smaller sized enclosure as they don't need monster sized boxes, but it does not hurt to go a little larger. In a way, I wonder if you might be more happy with a pair of 12's on the larger end of the spectrum instead, (yeah I know down~selling is not a good business trait, but trying to figure out best choice for your needs). One other thing, if you want to stay with 15's, don't be afraid of sealing them, ask anyone who has and they are VERY happy with the results. Due to the high power handling and high output potential, there is this perception of the Xcon's have to be ported, but that is far from the reality. In terms of the TC-9, I have one also, very nice driver, but the Xcon motor is a solid hop skip and a jump above. A TC-9 driver would more or less compare with our Icon. Hope that helps. well it's kinda too late for that, i already ordered those. is the 35lbs package thing fine tho? they really weight 45lbs? thanks for the complete answer denim, i think i'll still go ported, what would you suggest for the best musical output with a box on the small side In terms of tuning, stick with the range suggested on the site.
  3. I believe that is an Uberwoofer. If that is one, they were a single run driver ordered through TC, by Josh Laine of SIN. I believe Steve-o, aka Captain Canada has one. Meant to be a high excursion SQ driver.
  4. I don't consider a 17 year old car with 182k on it as fancy pants.

  6. Due to weight and movement, a double baffle should almost be a requirement for Xcon's.
  7. I-95North at the I-695 interchange from my POV.

  9. :(
  10. Thumpper has good knowledge of both the Xcon and Gti. But the OP originally asked about SoundSplinter, so with that being said the RL-p is the quality choice with out knowing more info.
  11. I think it is a factor of so many people were burned, or are still currently having quality and customer service issues that many have a problem with that company. With that being said, until they correct all the problems and improve, the public opinion will not change. Anyway, good post and well said. As for the SPL figure, I have no problem with people posting their scores, I have a problem with people thinking that posting an SPL figure for their particular install should be a selling factor for the OP or person asking the question, especially in a daily driver install where something resembling accurate sound reproduction is the goal.
  12. Not going to ban anyone for running Kicker. One of the best guys in the industry works for Kicker, and they make quality products.
  13. ah damn, if I would have known you lived there, I would have stopped in, I was there at my friends uncle's house a few times that trip. Its all good man. What, its only about over 12,000 of us to keep track of! You know now! Ill tell you what. When I buy Xcons later this year, I'll be doing it in Arizona. No shipping needed! People shoot me PM's and emails, and I cannot keep track of user names/locations/real names etc. in my head. Me = :trippy:
  14. I embedded the video for you. Just use the "" tags next time.
  15. We don't give away drivers for free and we don't have hordes of fanboys. Higher end SQ drivers are alien to fan boys.

  17. Not sure who's this is, but they are getting some nutty excursion.
