  1. Glad you made it to SSA. Our Canadian member base is really growing.
  2. If that Eclipse is a 2" coil, my mistake as I thought last I read it was a 3" and the power ratting is very high for a 2". Anyway, comparing initial price is one of the major issues with car audio. So many people fail to think about over all cost, instead of just initial cost. Also, most everyone fails to think about the differences in brands that makes these products. Example: Companies such as JL, ID and Eclipse often get compared to our sub woofers as they only know the big names so the think they need a direct price comparison. The major fault with that is, those brands are building their drivers extremely cheaply overseas, often times using the cheapest possible parts. This is because they have a great deal of overhead, advertising, promotions, sponsorships, etc. etc. etc. Included with all of that overhead and so on, is dialed in brand name premium. Now, SSA consists of two people that have the sub woofers, hand built with the best parts, here in the USA, with no brand name premium. What that means is, for the end customer, the value, quality and performance of and SSA sub woofer unquestionably trumps a RF or JL etc. What that means to SSA the company is, we have no where near the mark up or profit that these other brands do that go overseas. So excellent end product for the customer, no 2010 show vehicles in our drive ways, or bikini girls at our demo booth. Fairly simple distinction, but the continuing issue is that most customers don't take 15 seconds to process the differences on the grand scheme.
  3. Show me specifically where someone said that about the Eclipse sub woofer? Both drivers you are talking about are purpose built, but their purpose is different. One is a long throw 3" coil driver, the other is a moderate throw 2" coil driver. Just on those specs alone, shows you they are very different sub woofers.
  4. There are plenty of "Hyundai's" on CrApCO.
  5. Nice apples to oranges comparison.
  6. Oh no, I hope the dog is ok.
  7. Glad to see the required 'dog with subs' picture.
  8. thanks. you guys rock on customer service and on this forum
  9. We got an email from IA, that their UPS tracking system was down, but that your drivers are scheduled to be there Monday.
  10. :drink40: :drink40:
  11. Who would that be? DC I'm guessing? No, not DC.
  12. Looks like a European interpretation of the early Dodge Vipers. Super light weight, spartan features, and rough running high powered V8's. V12. Yes, thank you for the correction. The 500's were the V8s and the Cabarerra's were V12's.
  13. I think I read somewhere online about the move towards European crash standards in many cars recently. That means a lot of newer cars are going to have flatter and higher noses, in an attempt to push a pedestrian in stead of wiping the legs out and slamming into the front glass. At least the tests show the high flat nose's are less dangerous in low speed hits. Now back to the topic:

  15. I know what my choice would be, but that does not help you. You need to give some more info outside of amp, loud, and sealed. Some of those drivers are a little more sealed friendly then others, as stated on this site all the time, it is all about the install.
  16. Take a peak at the SEAS Neo textiles.
  17. Still on my list to drive one of those. Just hasn't been one for sale where I was when I had time to do it. Reminds me I need to clean up the pickup so I can list that shit for sale. Goodbye GM Although if there were a Yukon SS I might be interested, I'd definitely prefer an SVT Expedition though but not enough to build my own. The chile turbo is just too damn expensive and the non-turbo can bite me. If I had a T-5, I would have had a chance, but I do not want to put that kind of psi on my engine, nor do I have the money for forced induction.
  18. Doing numbers that big tuned that low with SQ subs is quite an accomplishment. So much so that who needs roof support or a shift knob? :trippy: :fing34: :fing34:
  19. Under Pressure ~ Queen.
