Instead of making multiple topics all over the board, I suggest you read the new member topics. Then make one topic that deals with your install instead of just randomly asking about sub woofers.

try Phoenixphorum.com alot of old pg fans still hang out there. I'm there everyday. I saw your name there. So I take it that you are an old pheonix gold guy? Meaning products from the early 90's. Old PG stuff rocks! The shop I work at used to carry all the PG stuff. I've seen pictures of old displays and it just rocks. We had all the old Titanium and limited editions. I was going through pictures of old installs and found an install with 4 15" MB Quarts and a Pheonix Gold Reactor. I with people still spent money on stereos like they did in the 90s. A shop by my house still has some older PG stuff. They have a M44 & another amp I dont know the model number of I believe it is an M series, it has a 10 year anniversary logo on it. Might be an MS1000. Monster 4 channel with plexi bottom? It did have a plexi bottom on it but I dont think it was a four channel. I'd go in there and take pictures of all the older amplifiers they have if I didn't feel weird about it. They might think I'm casing the joint or something. What about the MPH-6300? I never saw one, but was told they did make 1 just 1. Someone just bought it in the F&F sale. There is confusion about if it ever worked on it's own. Read something about it powered up just with external power supplies. MSRP of $99k, someone bought it for like $5k as a show piece I think.

Incorrect. It is what works for him. You are going about this all wrong. Again, who cares about what he has. I cannot believe I have to repeat myself. Focus on what your goals, budget, space limitations, power, vehicle, electrical system, etc. are. Again, you need to address and focus on what your install is meant to be, not copy what works for someone else. Be your own person, test and build your own install, use logic and reasoning to find out what works for your install. If you just buy the drivers that are in the install you are trying to copy, you are no better then all the clueless kiddies that think he is some celebrity and kiss ass. For the last time, focus on what actually your install needs.

This is my sentence much shorter. However my advice would be to never base a sub off a YouTube video. Alot of people do them, but truely they don't do anything good. It's mostly on the camera how hard a subs 'hit' or sound. Nothing like hearing it in person.

Either will work nicely for you. I would go with the xcon's for the savings this weekend if that was when you where looking to buy. Either way though, either sub will work great on that amount of power. Exactly.

If you are looking to push the amp to the limit, get the BL loaded. But if you want to set your gains to the drivers capabilities, the Icon will be fine. The Icon and BL are quite different drivers that are really designed to be in two different installs. Please take a peak at our new member topics and then come on back to give us some more info on your goals etc.

The Icon is in the general area of the Q in purpose and intended usage, but are different drivers. The Icon can be used both sealed and ported.
