  3. Wow, lots of questions in one post. Welcome to SSA first off. Ok, first question, yes, 1.75 cube per 12" Xcon ported is good. Displacement for a 12" Xcon is right around .17~.18. MDF thickness, or layers holding up has nothing to do with the amount of wattage you are using, proper construction is more important. Some people use extensive bracing, some use multiple layers. If you want to do a divided chamber, that is up to you. Port area, for approx 7.0 cubes total, aim for at least 120 square inches. Is this for SPL competition or for daily driving? I ask because 47hz is very high. If you want to seal the Xcon's to save space, that is also a great approach as people have loved them sealed.
  4. How much does an SSA Icon 15 cost from you? Also can you build a box that will fit the sub right but also fit in the trunk of an 05 Camry without putting the seats down? The price of the sub woofer does not change, what you are getting is a very well built box for free!
  5. Great sub, nice amp, sounds like a great plan to me.
  6. They don't have a care in the world, as it is not their money they are spending, and when it all comes crashing down, they will be dead or out of office anyway.
  7. It's a fun way to make some money. My college roomate (Eastern Religion Major) is now just a professional bartender and turns more than $100k/yr...of which a good $50k isn't taxed. I payed for undergrad doing it. Almost considering going back to it at this point.

  11. Welcome to SSA, you just made a major forum upgrade.
  12. Just announced it on DIYma, so if anyone wants to spread the word elsewhere it would help.
  13. As we don't have the final weights, we will address shipping costs a little later.
  14. I never moved over there after Fordexplorer.net was shut down.
  15. The idea is to help improve threads and reduce any possible conflict, while raising the level of conversation here making the forum more effective. Sean helped out a great deal in writing this. We don't expect it to be followed to the 'nth' degree, just if people can be mindful of them and keep them in mind while being a member here and the forum will flow easier.
  16. Just did that to me too, only it happened the second time I opened the thread. Must be the link from that other thread. But nice work. That is why Mark added them to my post because you have to be logged out to view them.
  17. Thank you for catching that. Corrected my grammar mistake.
