Understatement, I stopped reading any and all threads related to subs. Outside of the hop this has me reading about 2 threads a day. Whenever I venture out of that domain I want to leave. I am bumping this topic as we (SETI.USA team) are in serious need of any help we can get. Even if you just attach to one or two projects and have to run over night, it will help big time. The French team could pass us in a matter of a month for #1 over all, unless we can get some more computing power online for SETI.USA. Better for what? Meaning an 8L5 might be the best driver for install "A" and a pair of 9512's might be the best for install "B". There are too many factors at hand to pick one or the other based on no parameters. well i wana try a new sub lol. The logical step seems like the BTL, very impressive woofer. well the btl is more of an spl sub right? i really wanted to try something on the sq side. my buddy(mdizzle) has an 18" xcon and its a beast and i love how it sounds compared to my bl. I like that idea.

On top of the alternator, I would suggest a second if not a third battery to help with current for that RF amplifier.

Usually it is a good idea to spend a few dollars on building a new box for higher output before you go spending larger amounts on a new sub.

As said above, you will be fine. And down the road if you want to you can always put more power to it if you feel the need.

For daily driving in larger vehicles such as SUV's, I prefer port back/sub back. You may get a little more output and slightly higher score with port back sub up, or another combination.

Is there anything loose with the enclosure or on the driver it self? Did you also check all your wiring?

Haha ya it was a great deal I couldn't pass it up. The amps were cheap too, and I know from my friend (if you saw that TL i posted in the show off section) its the same setup. Okay. Are you bent on porting them? I prefer them sealed.

I might be a little off, but I think for that year, it is drivers side towards the rear. Not positive though.
