  1. Storm front rolling in.
  2. That's what's on the GT I just bought. They're actually pretty good tires. Great grip in the dry, and I can run on the highway at 80+ in the rain with now worries. I have nothing against the Falken's, they have the coolest name by far. Just have never used them before, and could not afford my beloved Yoko Avid W4S's.
  3. That is an awesome post, nice work!!
  4. Doing great Alan. I think we need to bug Mark some more about team stickers and brochures.
  5. Looking good. How about some deadening back there.
  6. Nice subs and box!
  7. Some say yes, some say a little under ratted power.
  8. Found this on LF: One man crazy mountain dance party. Just let it play for a few, quite funny.
  9. Hey Kelvin, I agree with John, the mid-bass' should be covering the majority of that range. Both drivers will play flat up into 100hz or so, but I would not suggest going much higher (see John's post). Both drivers will sound great in a sealed box, they are very different in their design. One being a copper coil that loves the lowest notes, the other being an aluminum coil with a shorting ring. So by features, the Xcon should naturally play a little better on the high end, but the mass majority of Icon and Xcon owners are crossing over at 80hz or lower. In a prior install, my since Icon 12 sealed was coming in with a 12db slope at 40hz because I had mids installed that could run down that low. Hope that helps a little.
  10. :bigclap: :bigclap: :bigclap: :bigclap: :bigclap:
  11. Exam scheduled for Monday. Tomorrow scheduled for a new set of rubber on the sled. I sadly could not afford the Yoko's I wanted, breaking my streak of 4 straight sets of Yoko's, so I am going to give the Flaken's a go.
  12. Want to tell us more?
  13. Are you serious? I knew they were off their rocker, but are they seriously not replying to a customer who needs repair and they have your driver? Again, another poor company that does not know how to treat their customers, they could careless once they have the money. It only makes it more and more difficult for the companies that do try hard and don't make false promises.
  14. Welcome to SSA. I have family from North Plainfield and Princeton.
  15. Sorry I have not been on the site until now. Optimal size for a pair of 18's ported would be in the 12.5 - 15 cube rage. Port area, just stick with the 14-16's per cube rule of thumb, so for a 12.5 cube box aim for 175^2 to 200^2 inches.
  16. Very cool. Wonder what software was used to render the box images.
  17. As Adrian was saying, there really is no such thing as under powering. If that is the amp you want (cringes at eD) , then go for it, plenty of power for daily listening for an Xcon.
  18. I watched some of that NBC puff piece on a day in the life of Obama. So far, it really did not show much if any of what he actually accomplishes, more so a great orator of what is handed to him. Either way, Rahm Emanuel is one shady / shifty guy.
  19. If a 1000 watt amp, and wanting to go single driver, the Icon or the Xcon will be a good choice. Both are great on that power. If you are worried about output, I would see if you can fit a ported enclosure for a 15" of either model. Maybe CRX style, sub's up port back, but tuned around 31hz, and in the area of 3.0 - 4 cubes.
  20. Sorry no updates. We just unloaded a large amount of money for the next batch of Xcon motors. Since they are in production, they are a higher priority.
  21. lol Another exchange of replies, kid is funny, going to riding his wrong assumptions. But if he keeps serving it up, I will for the heck of it keep making him look stupid, guess I am in the right mood. And again. And again. I am not sure what is more weird, Steve Miller of RD is telling his nut hugger to stop sticking up for his products, or that he is taking my side. But anyway, was a fun topic, as I occasionally love to partake in watching some fool try to attack my product and fail miserably.
  22. It is funny, because I have heard that song in that truck, so I know exactly how crazy that feels.
