  1. That is in reference to being a n00b in the hobby, not a n00b on the site.
  2. Welcome to SSA, I will get back to your second email here soon.
  3. Indeed I would agree based on my listening thus far that the Dcon's ideal alignment for overall frequency response reproduction is ported. I have no doubts that the low end would come alive in a ported enclosure, as the driver specs dictate. In this alignment it's a good sounding driver with more than adequate output in the higher passband, the design of the driver just doesn't allow for a strong low end sealed or IB. Which wasn't a surprise to me. Hopefully people reading the review thus far will take into account the design of driver and what alignment I tested it in (which is why I attempted to stress "in this particular alignment" in my initial review). It would be unfair to berate the driver for a lack of low end in an alignment it obviously wasn't design to excel in based on T/S parameters. I'll probably go with a 2-2.25cuft tuned to 28-30hz for the enclosure....that's just from 2 minutes of fiddling around though. If you have a different suggestion Aaron, I'm all ears That is on the larger end of the spectrum, but all the better at 2.25 cubes and 30hz approx.
  4. Would love to hear your thoughts on it ported, as it is the Dcon's strongest alignment in terms of performance. As is not naturally an IB driver, I am glad to see how it preformed in your install.
  5. Wow, very attractive!!!!!!!
  6. Updated thread tags.
  7. M1live.com, been listening to this station since almost it's inception which is nearly the same time SSA came on line. Awesome one man station.
  8. From what he told me a while ago, they will be tiny.
  9. Sundown's are a favorite around here. But listen to bigjon, as there is a serious amount of electrical system upgrades to support amplifiers of that nature and amount.
  10. This shop only carries those 4 companies?
  11. I think the 6 channel might be a killer seller.
  12. I am willing to bet, this one is a little louder.
  13. You going to model them for us?
  14. The DR sale is over, but we could do a package for sure. For example if you wanted to do a combo with the IA DR 12D2 and a Sundown SAZ-1000D, the combo price would be $759 (separate they would be $815). We could also do a 20.1 with a pair of DR 12D1's also.
  15. Running back up's. Because while we are finding a new host, I am forced to do part of the job of a host and constantly back-up the site. So all database's, home directory, and full site are being backed-up right now, so there might be a little lag in the load time.
  16. Sorry to hear that, but consider yourself lucky as you were given a heads up to prepare.
  17. I'd also HIGHLY recommend the 1989-1995 5 series BM'ers. Probably the most reliable of the lot and a hell of a lot of fun with the 3.5L as well. I am still pissed I missed that manual 535is in a matter of hours, ala Ryan1.
  18. There has been a few requests for a D2 model. We have been looking into it.
  19. Don't you hate it when you know you can't stop yourself.
