  1. I know it is not home audio, but in all the bars I worked in over the years, some with insane levels of audio system power, the Crown amplifiers were by far the best.
  2. I believe it is already in the mail.
  3. Congrats, as for the ported box, not sure if you need to go that big. The Dcon's love the smaller ported enclosures, but you could always build that size, then slug the interior air space until you find the sweet spot for your install.
  4. Okay, what started out as a nice gesture on our part to give away 10 stickers, which were really meant only for SSA speaker customers, or if they were bought from the shop, has gotten out of hand. I am getting too many emails of people just assuming they deserve a sticker. These were expensive to make and we have nearly been wiped out from giving too many away. So after this last wave of email requests I currently have is taken care of, I am ending the free sticker give away for now.
  5. That would be a custom order. Not sure if you want to pay $$$ for a one piece order.
  6. Due to unforeseen circumstances one winner had to pass, so by default and keeping with the already drawn numbers, of the people who entered who had their number drawn twice in the contest, the first one who had that occur was manbeer.
  7. On This Date... In 1986, the United States Senate allowed its debates to be televised on a trial basis. In 1974, People magazine was published for the first time. In 1964, the government of Italy asked for help to keep the Leaning Tower of Pisa from toppling over. In 1963, Mickey Mantle of the New York Yankees signed a baseball contract worth $100,000. In 1951, the 22nd Amendment to the United States Constitution, limiting presidents to two terms, was ratified. And in 1940, Martin Kamen and Sam Ruben discovered carbon-14, creating the basis for the radiocarbon dating method. Happy Birthday Chelsea Clinton (1980), James Worthy (1961), Elizabeth Taylor (1932), Joanne Woodward (1930), Franchot Tone (1905-1968), James T. Farrell (1904-1979), John Steinbeck (1902-1968), William Demarest (1892-1983) and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882). RIP Alexander Borodin (1887). 8. How did I know the moment I saw an ecoustics link, this topic was a farce.
  9. That is something only found out through testing.
  10. can't afford them ... Any upgrades, I must pay for. Do you figure I'd tell a good difference b/t a Sundown 1500D & the AQ amp? The only way I could afford the Sundown, is a refurb which I'm fine with. I cannot speak directly about that amp, but Jacob said a lot of people are trading in their AQ's for Sundowns.
  11. You guys need a TV tray next to the pooper.
  12. Just J said, the truck did a good job at protecting you. Sorry you got hurt, and I can sympathize with you on the lost vehicle.
  13. Congrats on the nice first vehicle. But if you are not paying for repairs and upkeep, ditch the AQ amp and go up to a Zapco/Sundown/RF etc.
  14. I have not been in a number of years.
  15. The line driver argument is an on going one. I had a need for one due to some voltage drop over very long RCA runs in a prior install.
  16. No. No need to run that much more power to an 800 watt sub woofer. Spend the same money on a high quality amp of lower power.
  17. Welcome to SSA!
  18. It is not being pushed aside, we are in a holding pattern until the basket is finished anyway.
