  1. Break in depends on your listening preferences and how often you use it. The average it seems for some people is between 1 and 2 weeks approx, under normal usage. When it has broken in, you will notice it. For the 10, 1 to 1.25 cubes tuned in the low 30's is very nice. You can go a little larger if you want, but that is up to you and what your ears prefer.
  2. Give it plenty of time to break in and if you feel up to it, port the sub and let it fly. :bigclap:
  3. This is very dependent on the box and the install. A 12 sealed can really get the job done. But if you prefer ported, the 10 is also very capable.
  4. Nice job on that box too.

Welcome to SSA, I just validated your account for you.
  6. Welcome to SSA Alan. I am sure some of the members would enjoy any pictures you have of your accomplishments, builds and travels.
  7. It will not be an SPL burp machine if that is what you are asking. We wanted to add a quality 8" sub woofer offering to the line up. So to keep with the rest of the line, it needed to sound great first, be very well built, have solid output, good excursion and look similar to the rest of our drivers. We don't pay attention to DD drivers, as we are not really after that market segment. The SoundSplinter RL-i is an excellent 8" sub, and I will let the people compare them once ours is out. I own an RL-i8 and love it.
  8. I think both sound fun. I feel the 1st one will dictate where you go with the 2nd one.
  9. The French Pirate, Le Arrrggh, turned Billy Bad Ass, is 37. Le Arrrgh!! :bigclap: :bigclap: :bigclap:
  10. sound like these will be perfect to throw a few on a saz3000d...or maybe they are very underrated and can take alot more for daily... Right now they will only come in dual 2. So a SAZ-1500D would be an excellent match.
  11. No, there will be 12/15/18 when the driver is released.
  12. Hello Drake. It takes a few days for the sub woofer to be built. The build ticket was made 30 minutes after you placed your order. The amplifier will ship out very shortly, and should only take a few days to ship since you are in the middle of the country.
  13. Nice work Trevor. Love the bit at the end. I am almost a little worried for your neighbors when some Xcons get up there.
  14. Have you looked at the Arsenals from Ascendant? Or the Lethal Injections from Incriminator?
  15. The fun continues.
  16. If I were in your position, I would opt for the Fi SSD's with the copper coil option.
  17. I think it was .6 cubes at 32hz, and something around 12"x12"x15".
  18. Would probably be A7HC's. A few popped back up last year refurb from the factory, but they were bought up really fast. Great amp, one of the better ones Cadence made that I got to play with over the years. It would be interesting to compare the new iA7 to the old A7HC.
  19. A few DIYma guys think it is the end-all-be-all HU. I have not used it yet, but would be interested in trying it.
