  1. Forum software upgrade with improved security finished!!
  2. The JL is a good choice and it will be plenty of power. The SAE-1200D is a decent choice too if you want to run it at 2 ohm mono.
  3. In the mean time, the mod team is doing a great job of catching most of them, members are reporting them, and I am banning and editing as fast as I can.
  4. Two things, we have been doing a lot of old school amplifier upgrading lately and it seems that so many guys do not want the overseas junk but would rather upgrade their older amps. $49 no fault found, $89 to repair and phone estimate on those badly blown amplifiers. We do the whole deal, BB upgrade where possible and if requested, capacitor upgrades, Mosfet and output transistor upgrades and even change the power transformer for better regulation and bottom end "slam". We currently do about 4-6 repairs a day but would like to increase this as so many guys send their amplifiers to shops who mess them up even further. Finally Zed will introduce new amplifiers BUT not what you think. I have completed the design of a ultra high quality class D and on my listening tests it rivals my class A-B designs. The whole idea of class D is small, light weight, more efficient and less expensive than Class A-B Dollar per watt. Regards Steve
  5. Welcome to the site. I would suggest starting a new thread in the speaker section.
  6. Do you have a budget?
  7. Do not send 1500 watts to an RL-p. You can get plenty of performance out of the RL-p with 400/500 watts. Something like a Sundown SAX-100.2 will be plenty of power.
  8. Send it into ZED.
  9. I vote you start sealed, and after the subs break in decide if you would like a little more of a peak in the output or are happy they way they are.
  10. Yup, worth the wait.
  11. Trevor, knowing how you tune and build your boxes, and the sound you like, if you are going big time power (above Icon limits) you are going to freaking love this thing. well I ended up getting the Crown A3000gti amp ....now all I need are the 12" Xcons Oh crap!
  12. Welcome to SSA. Great choice in equipment!!
  13. Hey Freedy, I have messed with Powerbass in the past, and they were strong amplifiers. But the new ones I cannot speak on, and I know some changes have been made. The Sundown has a solid record with a heck of a guy behind the company.
  14. After reading your response, the alternator should be good with a few large batteries to support.
  15. I know the ZED built Naks are very sought after. Heck I might want it.
  16. The USA series still retain a good deal of value for a reason.
  17. Don't see why not. My install is in constant flux anyway.
