  1. Last year I was putting 55hz on a 52hz box for the SPL12 proto in the civic hatch if that helps any.
  2. Not technically, but when we need one you will be one of the first asked.
  3. If it was tinsel slap it would normally occur at the lower range of notes. Also if you are reaching excursion on the driver to the point where the tinsels are slapping audibly then something in the set up is incorrect.
  4. Looks like a ton of fun.
  5. I've done the Taurus, so no more for me. I was half joking. But it seems like maybe a Fusion fresh off a lease might be the best thing with your goals.
  6. If you are after subs like the BTL, you are going to need electrical upgrades to support the power to extract the most out of that level of driver. If money is no option, spend some on the electrical, some on the sound deadening.
  7. I hope you have the electrical system to support that amp.
  8. Hey Sam, I will try to tackle a few of those questions. #2; any quality sub woofer in the correct enclosure that is not over powering the front stage will blend well. I would suggest a 10" or so driver that falls with in your budget and we can help from there. #4; this is an interesting issue because there are a few people that believe in the esoteric level of cables and wire and feel it makes a difference in sound and clarity. My experience is stay away from the ultra cheap stuff and you will be fine. As for your vehicle, I did drive one (well older then your's) and it is a solid car, but I feel a little sound deadening would help. Especially if you are going to use the equipment you plan on. Maybe in the range of 60^2 foot of Second Skin or RAAMAT to cover the doors and rear hatch would be a great start.
  9. Welcome to SSA, glad you found us. We will help you build your new system!
  10. Very nice!
  11. I was out of contact with Stephen for a few weeks during the move. I remember him saying everything was going to be backed up of slowed due to the move.
  12. NewAgeKing on ROE is, but today he posted sold. Don't know if that is both of them or not. KILLER pricing on those. Yeah, it is a shame, one of my favorite ZED designs.
  13. I got a phone call this morning from Garry (owner of the 2003 Dodge Quad Cab the Icons are in) he said the Icons are the best sounding subs he has had so far...the low end is very strong
  14. Welcome to SSA Sam. I would suggest starting new topics in the general audio sections in regards to your questions.
  15. Very nice choice in equipment.
  16. Can't wait for results!
  17. I would not stress it too much, just don't be stupid and get yourself in a bad spot, just hang out with friends and enjoy it. I worked almost every one of my birthday's since 18.
  18. Kent said it very well. No chance.
