Switching my setup. Need opinions/Advice XCON in sealed?
My first thought is to go about 1.25 cubes with 1 - 1.5 lbs. of polyfill.

Are you going to run your amp at 4 ohms again? That as well as your goals, will effect the size of the enclosure.

Sounds bad ass Sean.

The EVIL 6.5" Midbass
Yes, Hoffman always is around. I'll admit, at the beginning of the process, I was very hung up on specs, but I had certain aspects of the speaker that I wanted and in the end, I feel the sound was what I was aiming for. The other model I put together was with a different coil, cone, suspension and lack of shorting ring, just didn't have the warmth and the lower end I like.

Nationwide coverage I guess. I don't drop any calls. But then again, I am almost always around the city.

The EVIL 6.5" Midbass
I had originally wanted a lower Fs, but the design changed, and I really liked the sound and performance. The Qts. worked out to be around where I was aiming, and they are a little more efficient then I had originally planned. Tweaks can always be made for the next run, but as they stand, they are very smooth and have no odd coloring or break up.

second skin audio same as sound solution audio company?
Nope, totally different companies. What you are looking at is a very old video. It is the previous owner of Second Skin, applying what we had initially planned to use as the coating for the Khaotik Enclosures. The spray material was not consistent enough to do it for every enclosure time and time again, not to mention the added time and cost.

Currently 275/40/17 Toyo R1R. Fat tires are fat. They are meant for track mostly, but can be driven daily and have done me very well. Will be moving to RE-71R's next: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE-71R Probably move to a 255/40/17 to have less sidewall squish on harsh turns and a slightly smaller OD for better mechanical advantage. These are rated at 200 tread-wear, but are really 80, and that was done for the autocross guys like me wanting more stickies. My R1R's have big time grip, the RE-71R is a serious class above the R1R in terms of grip. So if you want to go more grip aggressive than the P-Zero's, consider the R1R's or even the Dunlap Starspecs.

SSA GCON or ICON in sealed box
The Gcon was never really intended for SPL. As long as you have enough box volume and some space in front of the cone, it should perform quite well.

Awesome, thank you for grabbing the Gcon. You can do a connector if you can seal it up. - All new models in the SSA Store
