  1. ...it is just a wafer thin mint.. Good luck with the install.
  2. Thought those subs needed more power than that? Both are great choices if 600 watts would be good for 2 or either. Was also thinking about a pair or Sound Splinter RL-i 12s sealed or a pair of RL-i 10s ported. Would a pair of 10s ported sound musical and also get loud? I believe there are no more Si BM's left until the new model comes out. In addition, the SS RL-i 12 is not around anymore. John's idea of the Sundown SD-1v2's ported would be sweet. In addition to the Fi X 12's on clearance, there might be a few left. Also, I love my RL-i 8, and the RL-i 10 is a very good choice if you were to look at 10's.
  3. I will try to help on a few. I have not heard the Cadence subs, so I cannot comment. But as far as amps go, of your list, the PG & kicker seems to be the most fitting. The Sundown is a very good choice due to the power/quality/customer service for the money, it does its serious power at 1ohm. On the idea of the pair of Cadence amps strapped, I am not sure that model can be, but check with JasonPaul to be sure. But probably buying one stronger amp would be the better solution in the end. I hope that can help narrow it down some.
  4. The Peerless seem to be gaining fans as of late, makes me interested. The Hybrid Audio 8 is an option, but I have not tried it yet.
  5. If you plan on pounding on it, cooling might be something to consider. But talk to NDMstang65, he is a Fi Tech and would better help choose which options if any suit your needs. I just prefer copper coils for something such as this. As for the MAW-10, I believe they are all out. I have not pulled them from the SSA shop because Mark has not given me the final word on if there will be more MAW-10's made. Same goes for the MAW-12's. There are a few more MAW-15's left, but now I am drifting off topic.
  6. I have not tried the MTX, and have not had much time around that series DD. But the BTL's that I saw last season did impress.
  7. This is a great topic, and I hope to learn from your project, even though my goals are on a smaller scale.
  8. We will continue to have a few of these mini-blowout's from time to time. So keep an eye on this section.
  9. Although my pms are at only 75 I must not be regular enough. Bummer When you hit the post count, you will be under SSA Regular. What type of numbers are we looking at? Not that it matters since the most pm's I have had at anytime are 9. But I would like to feel a part of the group. thanks for the info again. z You will hit it in no time. You are a steady, contributing member here.
  10. John, I checked and I am not sure as to how to adjust that setting. Mark might know, if it is even adjustable.
  11. I suggest adding the copper coil option.

  13. I did the math earlier, for amount of life lost during commute. 3 hours commute a day (give or take 20 minutes) * 5 days a week * 50.5 weeks a year (holiday) ------- 757.5 hours a year / 24 hours in a day ------- = 31.5625 days spent in traffic only commuting after 1 year at current job. Should be thankful since a prior job was 2.25 hours one way.

  15. My old limit was 1000, and I was deleting piles everyday.
  16. You are on the right track with the Fi SSD. Great daily sub that can get loud. But just don't expect to pop your windshield with only 825approx watts and a sealed 12. Not to many quality subs fit your needs.
  17. Just activated a few features, and bumped up the limits for PMs and Avatars.
  18. Just posted some good news in the News section.
  19. As another way of giving more to the members here at SSA.
