Just be smart with your LD gain and amp gain. Listen to your speakers and if you are giving them too much back down on the gains, and you should be fine.

Welcome to the IHoP
You can't be serious, don't you know since the wonderful Glen Davis trade, my beloved Orioles trade away players who are about to peak and they go after one who are past their prime, then pay them too much money, all the while destroying their farm system teams to get these has-beens. The O's have not had a good rotation since 1997, and have tried to win games with the bat. It never works out that way in the full season, too many games at Yankee stadium. With the trade away of Tejada, and the 11 straight years of losing while trying to get by with a medicore over paid team might be coming to an end. I think Mcphail (I think it is with a "ph") is cleaning house and has accepted that the O's need to clean house and build the team around the younger high energy guys like Roberts and Markakis. Sorry for the rant, just a snyical O's lifer fan. Cal did save baseball, but he could not save the O's, funny how that worked out. Ironicly enough I am wearing my Aberdeen Ironbirds t-shirt today (his minor league team very close to my house).

Spl build...I need ideas on the box...
Some have seen success with rear firing port (huge sewer pipe sized) one driver loading drivers side, the other driver front firing in a small box. There is something about the design that fights impedance rise.

Welcome to the IHoP
Selling the PG's, I think you might be sad later on. Same goes for the RL-p.

Welcome to the IHoP
For the price, it might be worth it. Good car, engine has loads of pwoer potential. A chip and a few small things and you are deep in to 200hp with not much work. The engine and drive train will hold and do you solid. The little pieces inside will be a bugabo, but not that big a deal. I would check the condition of the turbo, that could go and you would be pissed. I think there was a rash with CV joints and something in the steering, but it has been over 2 years since I have worked on my friends A4. Safe and vault solid car and I think you will like it, not a rip roaring snorter like the cobra, but will get it done. The Blows system is a pain in the tookus, so not sure if you are going to yank it or not. For daily all year round schleping, you got a good choice. What happened with the uber duber find red mustang you had? And is the torass no more?

RL-P15 to 2 RL-P12's?
Would you consider running a pair of 15's sealed? They will still sound great, you will double the cone surface, so in theory you should really go up in output. A sealed box will be not as deep as a ported, and the RL-p's are low Q drivers so they do not need a huge box.

Best all around 12" Sub
There is no perfect, there is best suited for your needs. The Fi Q and SSD's are very good, so is the Icon , Sound Splinter RL-p, Sundown SD-1v2, all built here in the USA, all backed by great people.

2 12" Mag and Sundown SAE-1000D Wiring question
If you wired the subs to 1/2 ohm mono, you could void the warrenty on your nice amplifier.

Fi BL or Audioque HDC
Personally, I know the quality of build of the BL's, and I know how they hold up. I don't know about the AQ's, so I cannot comment on them. But I vote BL's, you can option them if need be, can AQ say that?
