port area for 12" zcon
How much port area would you reccomend for a 12" zcon in 3 cubes @ 30hz? Will be powered by a saz2500d.

just bought new head unit
I have the pioneer deh-x9500bhs which looks very much like the 80prs but I'm sure the 80prs has much better internals and of course all the tuning capabilities. I dont know if its the bluetooth in my phone or the 9500 but its a bit finicky sometimes, hoping the 80prs is better.

just bought new head unit
With the increasing demand for the amazing pioneer deh-80prs and the availability dropping and price on the rise I figured I better get one while I can. Should be a nice compliment to my system. Feel like its only a matter of time before this head unit becomes nearly impossible to get your hands on.

SSA = dead forums
No kidding, I didn't really think car audio was much of a seasonal thing. Guess it depends on where you live though.

SSA = dead forums
Not too much goes on here anymore, seems pretty quiet lately.

never again will i order from here
Wow what a bunch of BS, don't even know anyone at SSA but feel sorry for Aaron when he has to deal with people like this. You should ban Kenny from the site for bashing on yall like that.

how much space do i need
Wasn't trying to do all the math, I prefer to let someone else design and build it, just wanted to make sure I could fit the 3 cube box in and out the trunk before I had someone build it for me.

how much space do i need
For a 12'' Zcon in 3 cubes at 32hz. How big does the box need to be gross? I can do 30 wide and 15 high, trying to figure out how deep the box needs to be.

help with new system
I had a 4 cubic foot box from an older sub but couldn't fit it in through the trunk opening. Maybe if I make the box more square than rectangular it might fit but I think I rather stick with the 12" being my size restrictions. I can do 30 wide and 14 high and my depth can be a variable, but i think at around 25 inches deep or so I might run into trouble fitting it in and out. Was kinda hoping someone could figure up the dimensions for a 12" in 3 cubes at 32hz and I was gonna build a mock up to see if it will fit in and out.

help with new system
Sold my Sundown Audio SA-10's and looking at upgrading to a single 12" or 15" SSA Zcon. Not sure I can fit 4 cubes for the 15, but can probably fit in 3 cubes. What would be louder, the 12" be in 2.5 cubes or the 15" in 3 cubes? Either sub would be ran off a Sundown Audio saz2500d.

cleaning up head unit wiring
Yeah I didn't cover any holes and like you said the heatsink is on the back so i think I'm good, might need to move it if its causing fitment issues though. Think I'm good to go on this topic now, thanks again.

cleaning up head unit wiring
I velcroed the aswc1 to the top of the radio, do you think it will hurt the radio or aswc1? Think thats why the dash kit won't fit flush in all the way but ill see.

cleaning up head unit wiring
Cool deal thanks Alton, makes me feel better knowing everything is wired safe and proper. I even soldered all the connections so I wouldn't have any issues with them but its a tight squeeze getting the radio in, actually the trim isnt quite flush in one spot and thats why I was gonna pull it out and clean it up a lil.

cleaning up head unit wiring
I can't remember exactly which wires I used, been a few months since I did it. The power wire for the antenna I think I tied into the red wire for head unit. Ive always thought the red wire was the accessory wire since yellow is constant 12v and I didn't want my antenna being boosted when the car was off. The wire is blue for the antenna adapter and my radios harness didn't have a power antenna wire so I wasn't sure where to put it. It works fine on the red wire but would it be better on a different circuit.

cleaning up head unit wiring
Hey guys well I want to clean up the wiring behind my head unit a little bit. I have the aswc1 for steering wheel controls, antenna adapter which has a power wire, and the remote wire from my amp. All this is tied into the head units wiring harness. Is this too much on the factory harness? Should I run some additional wires, just looking for some opinions here?

sundown vs dc audio
You are right, I could just go off peoples advice and opinions though. I can model all the subs I want but understanding the model and being able to relay it to hands on experience is a diffrent story. I think i'm willing to take my chance with the Fi Q 12's.
