We had a issue with the seal around the glass so the enclosure is in Mike's (DD9915) hands again right now. We got to banging on it too soon after it was completed. He's adding some more lights (needed the center lit a little more), bracing for the ports, and making sure all the sealed areas are %100. My intial impressions of the 8's......OMFG! They get nasty low like I wanted and had plenty of output but I'm sure they could easily take more in a different enclosure. Hopfully we'll get some other pics up soon but not till at least tues since that's when I'll be picking it back up. Mike likes doing vids so he'll more than likely be taking some once it gets back in my truck.

I'm down for the $25 for a shirt (3xl) chop!.....and you already know my theme, LOL! I'll get it to ya on friday or at some point over the weekend IAK!!!!!!!

A little update on the encosure for the SA8's: I've got a huge air leak in the seal around the glass of the box and it's currently out of the truck again . Mike has it until tuesday at which point the seal should be fixed, more lights added, a slight wiring change (2 outputs/1 per pair of subs), a doubling up of all the corners with more seal so no other leaks will "pop up", and bracing for the ports. As far as what I was able to get out of them before the seal problem: THESE ARE FREAKIN BEASTS, FTMFW!!!! The tuning is at 33hz and the box is on the larger size right at 5cu net but it destroys the lows like I was looking for. They had a lot of output before any tuning and the problem came up. I am extremely happy with this purchase without any doubts I'll try to get something up wed or thurs after I get them back in and a little tuning. I anticipate needing more deadener...LOL!

Sorry bro, I haven't got a camera other than a cell phone. Hopfully Mike will post a little something tonight. I know he wants to do a vid as well. Both he and Trace (helper) were pretty impressed with them as well I'm pretty sure. I kept hearing alot of "those are only freakin 8's dude!". LOL

I forgot to mention that the amp rack isn't completed or started at this point and will be another week more than likely. I have a temp setup for the amps on a piece of MDF at the moment just so that I can have some HUGE low end!

LMAO! I wish I could do it right now but funds are needed elsewhere at the moment (4 kids, lol). They may have to be a project for the end of the year or begining of next year. I work for the post office and the overtime kicks in really good at thanksgiving through christmas so possibly then.

Got a box and some sound! I believe DD9915 (Mike) is going to be posting some pics in the next few days. I am VERY impressed with the SA8's but wonder now if I should find a SAZ-2000D or 2500D and send them MORE POWA! Tryin to decide if the coin I'll have to drop on a bigger HO alt and a different amp is worth it.
