I need to test my old bd1000.1 but need to figure out what speaker wire is what to hook up to my line output converter. Nothing is marked in any way besides color. This is for a 06 impala without bose.all the power and everything is hooked up. Just waiting to test the rcas. The left rear speaker has brown and yellow and the right rear speaker has blue and light blue. Any ideas one which is positive and negative? I need to find out if this amp works or I'm gonna but a new one ASAP.
  5. are your batteries wired directly together?
  6. not the best but the easiest solution if you have to have 8 guage http://www.cardomain.com/item/STISGPINS8

  16. i roll about 35 mintues near st. cloud in forest lake
  17. the cheap options add up also fast. i know a lot of people that go to a a larger more expensive battery and upgrade the cables and still have to buy an alt in the long run due to the annoyance of dimming lights and voltage drop. when if they just bought an alt in the first place they may not of had to upgrade the battery. some of these batteries cost well over 200 bucks. thats more then half the price of an alt if you shop around.....
  18. i think that's a great score for not to high of a tune. i know nothing of that mic thou.
  19. yea definatly start with a big three upgrade to 1/0 IMO. made a big difference of my past rides. if i was running any real power on my new set-up it would be the first thing done....
  20. i'm still figuring some stuff out. you pointed out the biggest problem of my width. i might do a single 15" or 2 12" . which do you think would lend more output tuned to 30 with a minimum of 1k watts....
  21. Bump for help...
  22. anybody? i just ran my knu 1/0 guage and all my streetwires rca and distrobution blocks. getting ready to test my old rf 1001bd and build a box....
  23. ok here are my max external demensions that i would like to use. width (wheel well to wheel well) - 36" height (floor to rear deck) - 18" depth (rear seat to edge of trunk) - 35" well over 12 feet cubed so i figure after displacement of the subs and port and the box material some where around 10 feet cubed i would assume. thanks again for the help
