But you basically described really any decent sub company person with higher powered subs. Fi for one. I would consider the Zs if I was into hardcore SPL but that's about it. Nothing about the rest of their lineup makes me want to pay the price without going to another company. I started this as a find out type of thread. With the 3515's price tag, I can get an N2 BTL. It spawned from another thread that no one could tell me why they would recommend the dd3515 over the AQ HDC3 or FI BL.

Brand name/some will pay more just because? Would you buy the same vehicle for double the price if it had a Lexus emblem on instead of a Toyota emblem? Also, chris the man doesn't pay the price everyone else would as he said he wouldn't pay for DD like the rest of us would either.

It's ALL box dependent. DD's advantage to most is their motor force, and other motor innovations. I never said they didn't sound the same or anything. I am saying they aren't special. I don't know about whatever almart rca you got but I replaced my kicker twisted rca with my monoprice rca and had no difference in sound but gained a stronger jacket and was cheaper. The kicker rca actually ripped inside the jacket somehow and I didn't know what was wrong with my system because it was not visible without a fine close up look down. Maybe the your walmart RCA was faulty or didn't have a strong connection somewhere.

Uh, I remember a time when knu RCAs were kinda not recommended for some sundown amps because of the connectors on those RCAs. Sorry that I don't agree with you get what you pay for ALL the time. But I have had no problems with my monoprice stuff. I got Ethernet, RCA, and HDMI wiring through the house and car and have had no problems. But I feel ya about the problem though. I hate problems... Have you tried to talk to them, they may send you a different set free.
