You need to give more info about the enclosure if you already have it built. From reading your comments, you won't notice a difference from the SSD to the ICON or the Q. Get the SSD. I have played with all 3 subs before. To tell you the truth, you could stick with the SA sub and rebuild the box for smoother sound.

You can get a ported box to have as flat of a response as well and extend lower.

do you have it wired right and are you sure you got dual 1 ohm? you could have gotten dual 2 ohm and wired it for 4 ohm.

Get yourself an SPL-Lab meter then. You should stick with your 6" aeroports and change the lengths on those. It's easier than using a slot port that's interchangeable.
