  1. the ssd has been very good to me. it sounds amazing. i now have it in my home theater.
  2. sounds like you need a 1200watt mono amp for two maw 15s, right? just for 60 more dollars over your budget, you can get the sundown SAE 1200 with 2 years warranty.
  3. chit, i thought i was pushing it with 1200 watts to the SSD. lol.
  4. great looking box. but tell me what you think of them subs. i am getting the 2.5s in 10"s.
  5. i stopped reading after 2 paragraphs lol. your just goin to have to tell me.

  7. i have 1 12" SSD in my home theater. it sounds amazing, but i have heard so much about the Q. They are not THAT far apart in price either.
  8. omg. thats so cool. beyond cool. everything looks really nice tho. good job.
  9. wont i lose the all the settings? i mean if it is storming, there is no way i would have it on, but i just think that i might need a UPS just in case when there is a power outage and i could use at least get 5 mins to turn it off.
  10. what do you have to protect your receiver.
  11. yea, thats the one i looked at and people were saying that it shuts off because of high loads. those people have pretty much the same amount of electronics as i do. i also found this Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD UPS for about the same price. its 400 more watts. but im still thinking of my idea of using multiples of the smaller UPS. i could get three 350 watts and it would be a lot less expensive than buying the cyberpower one and i would be getting the same thing. it would just take up space, thats all. what do you think?
  12. what is everyone using? i would like to find something that is cheap but still could handle more than just a big screen. my entertainment area includes my 42" TV, yamaha rx-v630 receiver, a little phillips dvd player (nothing special) and a karaoke dvd player (also nothing special, imported from Vietnam), behringer ep1500 pro amp, and cable box. i looked at the Belkin PureAV Home Theater Battery Backup with AVR Technology but to a lot of people using about the same set-up, it would overload easy. the price is good but i was thinking of going with a bunch of smaller pc surge+battery UPS battery backup units. i have a belkin 550 VA UPS and an APC ES 350 VA UPS for my computers, they work well. the belkin 550VA is fine with the PC, 22" lcd monitor, xbox 360 and 28" TV. and i got them both for 60 bucks. should i just go with about 3-4 of these smaller ones?
  13. Only thing he knows about them, is how to make them go *poof*. He's blown two of them. only one has gone poof. the other one is perfectly fine. but like everyone said, the refurbished ones are a great deal.
  14. talk to shizzzon about the aq2200.
  15. ahh my eyes. layout is good but hard to see in the dark in the wee hours. so i went back to graphite. i do like the arcades tho
  16. there are many 2 way floor towers. i am actually get a pair of two way floor towers in the mail soon.
  17. hello
  18. that sucks but you can only wait it out. paint your box or something who wants to open a shipping company with me so we can handle shipments the right way. no broken parts, no douchebags thowing our stuff around and every thing comes on time and together.
  19. i think ill try the reverse airflow first. so is there another kind of resistor that i can use that is going to be better than using the 100ohm 10 watt resistor so that it does turn on and not heat up? going lower in ohms?
  20. should i get a new fan altogther or could i just connect a 100 ohm 10 watt resistor to decrease the fan's rpm? and how do you reverse the airflow? can i just turn the fan around? and i think that with the new ep units, they did a hot glue connection so that ppl cant void the warranty and then go back to stock when its broken. ill have to see when i get it though.
  21. thanks a lot. ill prolly do the mod then i guess because even if i can stand the fan noise, i think the back-front air flow is stupid. it gets debris and whatnot in there. ill try to get some pictures or a vid when im done setting everything up. thanks again Robert.
  22. The stock fan sounds like a small airplane motor. Unless you are putting the amp in a closet, you must swap the fan.http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/diy...ger-ep2500.html It's a long thread. I used it for basic info. Picked up a Panaflow fan from DigiKey and used a power connector from a PC power supply that connects to a 3.5" floppy drive. I had to modify it with a pair of pliers and a Dremel to get it to fit. But 20 minutes later, I had an extremely quiet amp. My box is not a cube. In fact, they are still in their test boxes. I never quite finished the real boxes. -Robert so a small airplane motor, like a toy plane or a real small plane? lol. but yea i think its goin in a cabinet. so what signs should i look for before my sub is about to die because its playing before 20hz? and i like your cherry stain or w/e.
