  1. Have you tried e-mailing their support? When I e-mailed Kenwood about some unknown house speakers, they actually got in touch with their engineering department and got some specs for me. When I e-mailed Strand Lighting about an ancient light dimming board at our school, they hooked me up with a manual. Try e-mailing them, you might just get lucky.
  2. The Q should be able to handle that easier, and it'll probably sound better doing it.
  3. A stick? o_O Whats that for?
  4. The steering wheel and everything's shakin like a salt shaker! I found it funny how you braced yourself back in the seat just before the bass hit. Looks pretty epic. xD
  5. Jesus Steve, how are you not deaf!?! Also, do you notice anything different about the car, with so much vibration? I would think that things get loose fast, and some parts just weren't made for that kind of vibration.
  6. How much for the two 1000Ds shipped to 96821?
  7. There are several company that will wind HO alts for pretty much any car. These are Iraggi, run by Dom Iraggi, Excessive Amperage, and Ohio Generator. I have no experience with these companies, but they're all popular.
  8. Man, these sound enticing. Wheres the best place to get these?
  9. This should be good. I like to see slamming imports. Thats quite a bit of deadening!
  10. Two 1500D's strapped makes 3000 watts, a full thousand more then two 1000D's strapped. Also, the SAZ-1500D is Sundown's competition grade amp, and the SAE-1000D is a lower line of amps made for the entry level. The manual states that the SAZ-1500D is rated at 0-18V operating voltage. The SAE-1000D is rated 10-16V. And although warranty only covers down to 1 ohm, the 1500 is safely stable to some pretty low loads, but I wouldn't run the 1000D on the same loads. In other words, the SAZ-1500D is way overbuilt. Don't get me wrong, the SAE-1000D is a very well built amp, but not to the obscene standards of the 1500. So, if you're going for every last watt out of the amp, and you've got a fully built 16V charging system, and your system is wired for half an ohm, the 1500D is what you need. If you're only going to be street beating, you don't need the 1500D for reliability, and the 1000D should last a long time. I hope this makes sense. -Trevor
  11. That is indeed a large woofer.
  12. In theory, yeah. I've heard the number 300w tossed around too. What amp do you have in mind? One 1500D for two copper coil SSDs is what I'm planning to do. A nice round 750W each, just below the rated power, so I should be cherry.
  13. The SSDs should handle a clean 600w with no problem, even without the upgrades. Just make sure the gains are set well.

Yeah, the song with the hella bass is UNK - Don't Make Us ft. DJ Montay & DJ Yola For a another real low song, try UNK - Back It Up ^---That song shakes the floor three rooms away with my HT sub. One of my favorite song, the bass just drops out of no where. Come to think of it, almost all of UNK's chit on Beatn Down Yo Block slams...
  15. I tend to like FedEx more. Never had a problem with their shipping, but whenever I get something via UPS, it looks like they launched it from the continental 48 states to Hawaii with a giant catapult. And then theres the time my order of RAM for my computer had the clampack open, one of the two sticks missing and hardly any foam left in the box. :\

An adjustable one probably would be better, since your box will probably vary, but I have no experience in these matters, so I'll leave it up to the vets.
  17. That be a serious sub there. Edit: The motor is just about taller then the basket!

A little googling turned up http://www.hlabs.com/products/crossover/
  19. I can't imagine that mounting them upside down would make much of a difference, as long as the heatsinks aren't obstructed and have free access to cool air. Edit: And maybe some fans.
  20. More bits in a DAC supposedly offers better sound quality. Most cheap CD players now days only have 1 bit DAC though, and I can't tell much of a difference, but them I'm not exactly an SQueer either.
  21. "AAAA MY XPLODS XPLODED!"
  22. He's going to be using four 1500Ds -- they work better with the subs he is using as far as matching impedance (32 of the original SD-1s).
  23. Why did he switch from the 3000 to the 1500? o.O
