Well I was down in Florida visiting my dad and this event just happened to be going on. So I was there. I did IASCA bass boxing tied for 5th doing 146 in a 60 second run. To bad bass boxing doesnt take watts into consideration the guy that beat me was running about 5000 watts of more power only doing a 150.1. Didnt see to many Sundown setups there. Galactic Monkey was there with the 24 15"s off I think 8 3000d's. Well here the pics! 6 Solo X's Ricer Awsome looking explorer that beat me in bass boxing and I still have no clue what he was running. GalaticMonkey (Chuck) was there! WOW I sat in this thing its definetly crazy. I love Sundown! Bagged out van. Was still competing even though it looked like some subs were missing? The goodies in the van Bagged Ford Ranger Lamborghini

Anyone else going to this show? I am gonna be up there first big competition wouldnt mind meeting some people off the forums!

It was a TL sealed on the dash. I played Grey Goose by Young Jeezy. How much do you think playing them all day before getting metered effected the score? Cause I know the subs were VERY warm when I was in the lanes from demoing my car all day long.

Thanks everyone! Is the way I was metered the same as DB drag racing? I am gonna be heading up to the Florida SPL finals in Orlando but never entered a DB Drag or IASCA contest.

Well I got a trophy for loudest at the show! Contest was your 30 second average score on music (if that makes sense). I did a 145 flat average 30 seconds. I burped a 148 at 46hz. But that was after beating them ALL DAY long. System consisted of 2 Sundown 1500ds. 2 15" Fully loaded Fi Bl's wired to 1ohm each

Id keep the icon if you are gonna use that amp. The BL's can handle a good bit more power

So you had the same problem with the smell huh? Did it kinda almost smell like paint? I do like the way my Icon sounds alot but if the problem with the smell continues after my friend sets up my amp with his O Scope I'm either going to get a Fi BL 15 or maybe try a SS RL-p 15. Either way I want to use the same box because the box was custom built and a lil pricey. Im pretty sure what your smelling is the coils burning. What amp are you running yours off of?

Ya I kinda fell the same way about my Icon. I was powering 2 off a zx2500. I felt that after about every 2-3 songs I would have to turn it down cause they would smell. Eventually I blew one. Ive owned about 4 different subs and this is the first time ive blown one. I know own a pair of BL's running them each off there own Sundown 1500d and ive never smelt the coils burning at all. SQ wise The icons kill the BL's. I have problems hitting the lows will the BL's

I have them in a Explorer. I just want some 18"s

Currently I am running my 2 15" Fully loaded Fi Bl's (flatwound coil, cooling, p chamfer) off 2 1500ds. I am about to buy some 18"s. They have cooling and flatwound but no p chamfer. How different are the 2 gonna be in handling since the 18" ones dont have the p chamfer but my 15"s do.

My sub was making that exact same noise! I sold it for 130 shipped and it was a 15"!
