  1. Okie dokie. First point. We don't do "VS" threads here, so don't expect anything but a mod chewing your ass a little bit. Second point. We've all been where you are before, so it's difficult to get too annoyed but listen. Find a local shop, and ask to apprentice. No pay, just work and learn. I did it. Are shops going to be right all the time? Not even close, but if you want to learn it's a good first step. You have to work off the "obsession" and it's hard when your young. I'm pretty sure Dennis at Audio Enhancers wanted to kill me, but he taught me and made me do my own research. Not ask 9 million questions online, but RESEARCH. Get in there man or you're gonna go nuts and get kicked.
  2. I imagine an old fashioned from her is like f***ing a cheese grater.
  3. I hate when that happens lol Seriously. Lol
  4. LP's are fairly easy to spot from the internals. Almost all of them used the T03 case on the transistors and had lots of point to point wiring. Are there any benefits to doing it that way? It's an argument waiting to happen. T03's are high speed frequency switching. Some people think it matters, others don't. I honestly like Linear Power, I think they sound great, and they're period correct for my 88 Cadillac. I love the way they look and I love the way they sound. I'm not rushing out to buy anything new at the moment, not because there's anything wrong with them (I collect old LP), but because I enjoy the hard work, craftsmanship, and reliability of them.
  5. I've got a 2202 coming and getting modified from the start. Soon as that's done, I'll start the hunt for a "reasonably priced" 8002sw. Then I can get all the sinks powdercoated. and buy myself a pair of icons or xcons. That has yet to be decided.
  6. Guess it wasn't just me that noticed.
  7. I wish I could snag your xcon but alas, I've spent too much money and need d2
  8. Yea my bad. Fully modified, 4awg pigtails. I'm a fan. Getting a 2202 in sometime this week
  9. I realize there will be hate to follow, but whatever it's no big. I'm very happy with it.
  10. Looked for a sec. I can't watch videos at work so I try to pay attention to threads with a lot of pics, not a lot of videos.
  11. Techflex for sure. Shit Shizzon kinda just handled the thread. LOL
  12. Aaaaaand I'm hungry lol
  13. I use a simple setup of Paradigm Atom v2 bookshelf 2 ways, and a Sunfire True Subwoofer Architectual inmy apartment. All run off of a Denon AVR-810. I'm pretty happy with it.
  14. DSS distro blocks. Flexible ones. Like (2) 1/0 in and out, with (2) 4awg in and out. For 3 or 4 amp installs. **Flexible meaning multi-application, not like those weird JL ones that the wires can move.
  15. I do still have the Focals. Nakamichi is sold, as well as the Diamond
  16. Just doesn't fit my application. Going to move em. Thanks though bro.
  17. I could always do 2 3" ports, but they'd need to be 24" long. What a pain lol. I guess good things come with hard work and a shit ton of math.
  18. Oh and I really appreciate the help man. I owe you a couple beers.
  19. I can run the SSF no problem, haven't purchased an amp yet and can make sure I can get one with a fairly precise SSF. I find the hardest part is being comfortable with port area. I can hit 2.5 cu ft @ 24Hz with a single 4" aero port 20" long, but that seems like way too little port area (12.56in)
  20. 2.5ft @ 24Hz would be running them isobaric. Good low end extension and flat response. I have a box builder who can do whatever I need. I'm just trying to get all the math out of the way. I kind of like the idea of the isobaric at 24Hz. Just trying to get port calculations down to make sure it's possible and the port isn't too big or too small. If I punch the t/s parameters in, it autopopulates 2.5ft @ 24Hz and looks perfect.
  21. I'm gonna be weird. Trying to get 2.5 cu ft @ 24 Hz, possible?
