  1. Send a PM to Sundownz (Jacob) and ask him. He'll be able to point you somewhere.
  2. Not to be a douchebag, but do you really need one??? I set it and forget it... In all the amps I've had I only installed it, with the 1st one that had it, then found I never used it... So I stopped wasting the time and effort to run and place it... (not that its that hard) I used mine ALL the time.
  3. *I am measuring my truck tomorrow and WILL be placing an order with Don. I suggest you do the same thing.
  4. Just out of curiosity, did you go to the SDS website and read his writeup's?
  5. I think you'll need a recone there.
  6. It does. My friend has a 1000/1, and after updating just my fuse, even with 4 gauge wire, my saz-1200 is walking all over the JL. Just playing the Devil's Advocate here. But what do you mean exactly? Did you clamp the two of them, or is your system just louder?
  7. Note to all readers: This is how you make a topic. THIS will get you help. I don't have much experience with driver selection, but I did go through it with Sean last year. (My build will start this spring) I decided to go with a Peerless SLS 8" for the midbass. Have you thought about using a full range speaker for your midrange? Are large format tweeters out of the question?
  8. The seatbelt ground still has me a bit skeptical. It's much cheaper to try a new ground. Just give it a shot before you spend the money.

I'm sure there are MANY competitors that have NEVER heard of Sundown, Fi, SSA, etc. NFL players are competitors, but so are the 7 year old kids playing Pop Warner ball.
  10. That we take seriously. And if you want US to take YOU seriously, you really need to go read the noobie posting guides. You're not going to get much help with a topic like this.
  11. welcome to car audio bliss Couldn't have said it better myself. This will be your new home. You don't need another forum.
  12. This is an excellent/HUGE step for your company! Congratulations guys, and continue to grow!!
  13. Sounds like there is something wrong with the amp. Where is his amp grounded to? I know that I had a problem kinda like that and it turned out to be a bad ground.

That sucks. I'm so glad I live in a town where crime is virtually not existent.
  15. Considering all you can do is about a 1/2" round over on it, probably not. At least not to your ears.

Let me google that for you

Okay. Let's say you have all your settings right, and a properly built box. You're woofer will last. (excluding some lemons) You're volume knob will be directly correlated to the power your amplifier is putting out. You set you're gain with your volume knob at 75% conservatively so you know you're HU is not clipping. You set it that way so that YOU KNOW when you're volume is on, say 15/20 (75%) that that is your MAX listening volume. Any higher you will risk clipping, and thus over powering.

Well, without knowing what amplifier you have, and what voice coil configuration you have, we can offer you no help.
  20. I think DeepSubBoy made a time machine and a new account.
  21. If your speaker was perfectly on axis, it would be directly in front of you. Think home audio set ups for this.
  22. Shin splints occur from the stretching of the interosseous membrane, the membrane that connects the tibia and fibula of the lower leg. Compression taping in most cases will remove shin splints for that workout period, massage before and after will stimulate circulation and promote healing of the membrane. Another thing to do is concentrate on your form, meaning stop running on your heels and run on yor toes, almost as if your falling, that will make you faster as well In theory.
  23. Okay, well lets restart. Give us a full list of things that you have tried that don't work, and things that helped.
  24. If it is going to cause failure of a speaker, it will be mechanical. You can hear when you're pushing a speaker too far. And if you can't, you'll know when it does fail. Bottom line, don't bother with it.
