  1. ok.. just want one sub and am trying to spend as little as possible and still have good sound quality and output. Fi SSD?
  2. I completely disagree. 550 watts will get both woofers "bumpin." The BTL will be louder due to the efficiency being higher. You will be satisfied with either I think. I think the BL is more of what you're looking for. I would get the fully loaded BL and look into the Sundown amplifiers. (SAE1200D would be a good match.) The bigger you go with the woofer, the chances are it will be louder.
  3. I have to agree. I can't think of too many woofers that are going to fail if you play them the way they are designed. (Every once in a while there will be a lemon.)
  4. I'd go with option one. You really aren't going to save THAT MUCH room with option two.

I like the shirt comment at the end, that made me literally lol. Keep making us "internet branders" proud!
  6. You could get two 1500D's and strap them too.
  7. You did a nice job on those! Good attention to detail.
  8. The overkill is probably slightly better, but RAAMat makes a great product. I wouldn't be afraid to use it.
  9. Someone does make a custom box that fits under the rear tower bar. I can't tell you who for the life of me, but someone does.

The only real pros or cons is the wiring options. D2 you can wire to a 1 ohm load.
  11. Some audiophile, hint, hint, should do a great 12" challenge for SQ subwoofers. If I had the time and resources ($$$), I'd gladly round up a couple of my favorites. Probably wouldn't do anything except subs that were produced within the last 2 years to keep it fair. Maybe someday.
  12. Is this going to replace the current 3000D?

  14. HAHAHAHAHAHA
  15. I would put the w7 with the BL. Add the SSA Icon and JL w6 to the Q.
  16. Are you looking for overall loudness? Or just a general comparison between the two?
  17. Keep it coming! Do you have an estimated finish date?
  18. I agree with Denim. With the mounting depth and the fact that it is in a tuck I think the fully loaded SSD would be a good choice.
  19. I got my SAX50.4 from Jacob last week! Won't be hooking it up for a while, but it came in great condition! Can't wait to start a build.
  20. That's purely speculation. Is it your goal to just get as loud as possible?
  21. I believe Neil wrote up an article on how to set gains using a DMM. It is VERY useful and should be stickied if someone can find it.
  22. Did you just reverse the two walls of an L shaped port?
  23. I assume you just want a loud music system? If so, this will work fine.
