  1. I would go with the 3 10" Icons over the 2 12" Fi's the low end of these 10" Icons is even stronger than my RF 12" T2's....LOL this set up is as far away from SPL as you can get....I can gain another 6db just by changing the box but that's not my goal my friends call me REMAX because all my neighbours want to move.......
  2. you should see the store windows downtown when I drive thru....insane for some little 10" I'll be adding two more subs over the next couple of weeks then I'll be able to use up some of that extra headroom that amp looking spare tire has probably add another 5-6 db to that score
  3. I knocked all the tools off the shelves in the garage while filming this video my router bit set was spread all over the place..the little wood box broke when it hit the floor
  4. was playing around with my two 10" ICONS today.....
  5. I built an enclosure simular to this one back in 2007..it took home 4th in the worlds in superstreet 1-2 no wall...with a cheep pair of $100 woofers...LOL lintk to the results http://www.bassworx.com/Bassworx%20News%20-%20November.pdf
  6. CA.com is full of copycats that claim others work as their own ....I find myself spending less and less time there
  7. this one is a bare bones no flares no paint......nothing except some bondo and sanded smooth
  8. I have seen that one...the logo I have is a verticle fist squashing some letters didn't like the horizontal one anyways
  9. I have great confidence in Mark and Aarons final results...their products have proven themselves in my eyes... the only problem I see is people like myself who like to feed 2x the RMS knowing it's over kill to begin with
  10. I think the excursion will be fine with the D CON......
  11. plywood does work but if you end up with a big void (happens often with plywood) you will end up with an added bonus of a buzzing/vibarating panel
  12. just an Idea on the punishment the ICONS can take compared to some other subs I have recently used I shreaded 5 JBL W10gti subs in 7 months... blew 4 RF T212D4 subs in 3 weeks and one set of ICONS has lasted me over 5 months not only are they reliable they are very tight and detailed sounding...I have a couple systems driving around town with ICONS now...they have a distinct rolling thunder sound to them when they are coming and going
  13. voice coils were fine..I was un able to smoke them even with full power the only damage I could do was launch the cones past the limits of the spiders basically if you blow a ICON with out launching it out of the basket with 2X the rated RMS you have done something wrong...very tough little subs
  14. I really need to add that 3rd sub...the two are putting out as much as they are capable of that's it...there's no more go I think the three woofer box is gonna kick good but I see some X-CONS coming soon... considering the quality of power I am running maybee a pair of 15"
  15. you have more amp than icon sir! I have one more recone to do and I'll be adding another sub.....TRIPPLETS!!!! :bigclap: when I get some me time (soon I hope) I will build the enclosure and amp rack
  16. I was a little hesitant about this stuff at first but it works really well.. the recone looks really good and I'v been pounding the hell out of it all day the sub on the left is the recone..the sub on the right is the SSA built one my bead on the dustcap isn't quite as shinny as the SSA one a slight visible difference of glue color http://www.prosoundservice.com/m9_view_ite...D-RECONEGLUE8OZ
  17. ya no kidding....it's a really BIG amp....LOL ...80 pounds worth
  18. I broke my Icons......took 5 months of serious punishment but I was finally able to kill them....but it took well over 3200w rms of clean power to do it.... anyways...time for a rebuild I was in a hurry to get the bass going..I'll take some better recone pics with the next one and ya they are seriously over powered...(understatement...LOL)
  19. I love multiple small driver set ups..... :bigclap:
  20. I can't wait to see how this sub sounds on the A3000 glad I found this little company..the products are a hoot
  21. for a mid level class D I would take the JBL the biggest reason is the JBL's do have a very high effective damping factor and have better than average woofer control.....this is really noticable in low tuned enclosures with the note ripps nothing against the PG.....good amp..just not as good IMO
  22. so far yes....... but I have a few shops that want to drop the prefabs and have their own line of simple quick builds so I'll be hiring help soon to build those as far as my custom stuff I'll keep those for myself..I don't trust others to keep the quality to my expectations..just good enough isn't good enough for me
  23. all depends on size and weight..this perticular box would cost in the area of $120 Canadian funds to ship to the far end of the US from here (Salmon Arm BC) US funds it is about 25-30% less
  24. I'm really looking forward to testing these puppies.....
  25. I wonder how these would perform as added midbass
