Well Im going to be putting Two tens in an altima coupe and they will be powered by a sundown 1500. I was thinking Either 2 fi qs, bls or 2 audioque hdc3s what would you recommend??

I used the the harness from a 9884 on my 9887 and it worked fine you just have to put the external fuse in there like i did.

Damn people keep on saying different things. the question is what will be the loudest sub off 500 watts? BTL, SSD, Q, BL.

one of your doors is probably louder and more expensive then my entire system lol..

I just got searched saturday night for some bullchit. So it was about 3 in the morning and i was on my way home from a party. It was raining so i stoped by the carwash to empty out the trash and from inside my car.(i keep it really clean.) Anyways im chilln in the car wash for about 5 minutes and im listinen to some music.(not very loud) Next thing i know i see a cop behind me and i go to get out the car. The cop yells at me to stay the fudge in the car then come to my door and suspects me of being drunk im like no. then he says my eyes are red and thinks im high. Im like WTF i dont smoke. then ask me why am i up and ask if i use crystal. Im like fudge no. He ask me to search my car and tries to give me a breathalizer test. i say sure whatever and he finds nothing and the fudgein test machine was broken lol. but the cop was fudgein wack he made me sit in the cold rain while he searched my car. then finnaly he left and was like thanx for the cooperation bye bye. fudge tthats the last time i say yes though. cops are fudgein dicks..

ok so i think i fixed the problem it turns out that the multimeter was automatic and at first it was reading 38mv so it changes accordingly (wtf but watever) i teseted using a 60hz tone and i ended up with the gain at about 3/4 way up for about 36.3 v but my sub still doesnt sound like i expected it to. It may be the chitty prefab box that i got which is only 1.2 cubes. I have the sub inverted so i can have the 1.2 but still do you think going 2.5 ported tuned to 32hz with a well built box will give me better output.

i got the 30 dollar auto digital multi meter frin radio shack and yeah i am setting it up correctly. doesnt it normally need gains about half way up for it to be reading around 40 volts? because i need to turn my gain like 3/4 way up for it to even sound decent looud.

yeah i am using a dmm and the reading is coming out that 36 volts with the gains all the way down what am i doing wrong. I am using a 50 hz test tone and i put the volume at 28/35 and subwoofer at +12/15 and the volts are reading liike 38v on the dmm. what the hell is my problem

OK so i have a hifonics 1606 powering one 12 Q and i have the gain turned all the way down and the multi meter is reading 36.6 volts and if i turn the gain up to about half way it reads like 55 v. i am confused and my headunit is only 2 v preouts what is goin on, is there anywone that lives in so cal that can help me set my gains and check my setup because i am either just plain stupid or something is wrong.

So i have an fi q 12 sealed at 1.2 cubes and it sounds like chit to me. It isnt musical at all and it makes a ton of mechanical noise. most of the time thats all i hear. I am running it off a hifonics 1606 amp with the gain turned half way up and the bass boost all the way down. I have a alpine 9883 HU with the sub at + 15 and bass -2. The sub is inverted and it is down firing in a hatchback. Any opinions as to why i it sounds so chitty to my ears. I mean my old system was 2 10w6v1s and it seemed like they were twice as loud off only 650 watts.
