  1. We still have the 8" driver coming, and if there is demand it will have a 10/12 sibling, so that line will be named something along our scheme. I'll pm you where you can send the royalties... haha.
  2. I asked Jacob if the SAZ-1500 was 0.5 ohm stable, he said it was but voids warranty. I'm going to be ordering two IXL-12.2.2s and buying a Orion 2500D.
  3. Wow thats not bad at all. It was $110 each for 2 AudioQue HDC3-15s to where I'm at.
  4. lol.. Well. I have a Pioneer DEH-4900IB for a headunit, I'll brb gotta check bank statements to see my budget, no amp yet, I'm looking for some speakers/components that will sound good, not be harsh sounding, something that will keep up with my two Mach 5 IXL-12s. My goals... To have speakers period I guess. I'm not looking for something crazy, just something better than the one functioning stock speaker in my pickup. truck is a 94 sonoma regular cab btw.
  5. Lol I just bought this headunit Well, I can make up boxes or whatever to fit something like a 6.5" round speaker so... Any suggestions on Make/Model of coaxial?
  6. I'm going to be doing a big three. I'm going to have 1-2 batteries in the bed of my truck. I've got to wire up the Orion 2500D, which is also going to be in the bed of my truck. Theres gunna be a camper shell over my bed, and the rear window taken out of the cab,and the front window out of the camper shell, and the box/amp/batteries is gunna be in the bed. Should I just buy so much, like 25ft or what? What gauge or gauges should I use? I can't remember what the amp can accept in regards to power wire size.
  7. If theres any way I can clear this up at all I'll try. I'm not the best at times trying to describe what I'm thinking
  8. Are you going to be fixing up the van itself, exterior wize? Looks like it'll be hella loud.
  9. I'm running out of thread titles.. I'm going to be getting two Mach 5 IXL-12s, and a Orion 2500D to power the two. My truck(see sig) right now, has no head unit and it has one factory speaker that works if I remeber right. I got a replacement headunit, but.. no speakers/component setup/whatever else I can do. What should I do? should I go with 3 way speakers or whatever they are, or go with a component setup? I don't have a lot of cash on tap.. I gotta finish a motor when it arrives, and gotta pay Mark @ Mach 5 when the money transfers to my paypal. Should I worry about a rear stage? I put some older Pioneer subs, Kenwood KAC8103D, and a Kenwood KDC-205 in a sunfire, and the rear speakers chit out, so I replaced them with some Dual 6x9s. I wasn't working at the time. Thats pretty much all the experience I have with speakers and stuff. The sunfire had a 4x6 and a tweeter in each of the front doors, and two 6x9s in the rear shelf. Uncle had a 95 Silverado with 4 Pioneer 12s under the rear seat, and he had custom door pods made up, that replaced the junk holders in the doors with a box that held 3 speakers (and 3 tweeters if I remember right) maybe I could do something like that? My cousin is ok with fiberglass, so I might get him to help me with that. I'm open to any ideas. I will have lots of space to work on my truck when we move here shortly. Maybe get some tweeters and crossovers and some MLi-65s (I think thats what they are) from Mach 5? Somewhere that will ship to Canada would be nice.
  10. I like the dustcap on the X-con.. I'm not really a fan of the boob cones, like some of the RE subs had... Are you guys gunna make some cheap woofers and call them the e-cons?
  11. Front or rear? If its a rear bumper you can find roll pans for your truck selling for around a 150 As for your headliner...Replace it yourself. Take the old one out use it as a template and pick up some fabric of your choice. Front bumper, off a blazer that went end over end. I managed to find a front bumper assembly w/ turn signals, lower valance, 95 composite grille shell, headlights and adjusters, lil pieces of trim and window cranks for 125. lucked out there. ended up paying 200 for a mint tailgate. just need mirrors and a headliner now. I'd rather do the mdf.. I'll probably fiberglass it or cover it with something. The rear bumper was smashed in and screwd up... I'm gunna make a roll pan. I love to fabricated stuff and I got tools for it so no big deal. Is yours a 94? looks like it is cause of the turn signals.
  12. Thanks mdex, Its got some nice holes in it. I'd recover it but I don't feel like spending the time. Plus I might make some speaker pods, and a centre console in the mdf one... give me ... space to tailor it to my needs.
  13. Nah no sanctioned stuff where I'm at. No nothing really.. gotta have most stuff shipped from the states..
  14. you got any pics of the mdf roof? i dont think it'd be too bad since roof is mostly flat.. Nah stuff aint cheap... 200 for a tailgate, 250 for a damaged bumper...
  15. 1994 GMC Sonoma reg cab, 2nd gen style. got the truck for free...
  16. Nahhh.. the previous owner bitch poked holes right up to the roof, its ruined. and smashed the front end off and ruined the tailgate..
  17. gearstix posted a topic in General Audio
Whats involved in doing a MDF roof? My headliner is shot, and i don't want to spend 350 for a replacement headliner. I think it would be nice cause I could make a console for the roof to mount stuff..
  18. All Sundown needs to make now is headunits and wire.. then we'd be all set.
  19. I wish dB-r had refurbished SAZ-1500Ds in stock I definitely cant afford the MSRP on the site... cause I have other things I need to get. errr. a SAZ-1500D won't be enough power for the two will it? OR is it 0.5 stable?
  20. I have a whole bed of my sonoma to put my box in.
  21. Which would you use? I'm not sure what I'd use for power.. Depends on my electrical.... I'm thinking a Maxxsonics amp or Sundown..
  22. I don't think I will be able to do the amount of subs originally planned. Mark do you have some more photos of the IXL 12.2.2 other than whats on your site? I'm 95% sure I'll be using one of them, on a Hifonics Txi-1008D or Sundown SAE-1000D, in a tapped horn. The body parts I need for my truck are alot more expensive than I had figured plus I want to start bagging it.
  23. What makes you say that?
