  1. Yea, I been thinking about running everything down the middle later on. I was wodering where a good spot to drill would be. can u post some pics of the hole?
  2. i own some pg's. the midbass is great and i still havent deadened my door. i also have a pretty terrible h/u and they still sound pretty good. i never heard arc audio. i also cant compare the pg to anything other then some polk db coax's i had running off the h/u before. i doubt anything will be much better then the pg's for only 40 bucks more IMO...
  3. thats pretty BA
  4. front batt.....fuse.....................................fuse......rear batt
  5. i ment with some of that 0 gauge. or did u take care of that
  6. and u might want to do a ground for the batt up front
  7. ill see what we can do. if it was any other car it would be so much easier....
  8. Just because your amp is rated for a certain amount of power doesn't mean you have to send the sub that much power. So I adjust the amount of power going to the sub by adjusting my gains, or is there another method volume knob
  9. its a 2000 POS! the trunk has a tiny and weird ass curved opening that make it hard to fit a 1.5 cube sealed box. its got the room for abig box but its gona be a pain in the ass. id like to wall it.
  10. u can get 4 type RRRRRRRs for less then $500 haha
  11. alright thanks. still not sure what we're goin to do.... i wish he would just sell the l7. its tobig for that trunk...
  12. i just read a review hear on ssa for the clarion. it will depend on the money situation but i would be happy with either.
  13. i know its an L7 but can i get a comment on how affective a wall would be in a car?
  14. i can get the clarion for about 200 and the pioneer for about 300. is it worth goin for the pioneer? its my first active set up. i could afford some better speakers if i get the clarion... and i really like the look on the clarion for some reason... idk why...
  15. thanks nick. looking forward to purchasing a pair this winter.
  16. so i still havent gotten around to doing a new box for my bro's L7. but im thinking about trying something alittle different. he basicly only wants spl so im thinking about trying a wall... i have to build the box in the trunk anyways so might aswell try something new. its a mercury sable by the way. im thinking 6 cubes net design from the manual or do a tuning around 34hz...? we are prepared to deaden the rear deck, etc. will there be more output from a wall in this car or would it be a waist of time? if we did the 6 without the wall there wont be much of a trunk left anyways... and im sure we can seal the trunk off from the rest of the car effectively.
  17. Bump for an answer to my question. bump bump
  18. interesting... ill have to try that on my next box if i can...
  19. how many cubes in the box and whats the tune?
  20. make it rain!!! lol are those just plain bolts u used for box terminals?
  21. i love mazda's! good luck on the build
  22. go for it dude. i have one 12 and ran it off 600rms kenwood excelon amp and it hit very good and had very nice sq. it was in a 1.2 cube sealed box for awhile and i enjoyed it but i later desided to try a ported box 2.2 cubes net tuned to 30 hz and its still very accurate. i go back and forth between boxes because i like it in both. if i had 2 of them i would run sealed because of the awesome sq the driver has. with only 1 in the ported box i get a good balance between sq and spl that i enjoy.
  23. thanks for the info m5. ill continue to play with the location and polarity for now.
  24. that makes alot of sense thanks. what about "padding the tweeter"? what's that all about?
