  1. You would probably be surprised at how well 2 1500's would do at 2 ohm strapped.
  2. They are at 1 ohm strapped. This is a burp only vehicle. I don't know if Jacob would suggest you running them like that, on a daily system. I believe if you are careful and have enough electrical to back them, you should be fine. Maybe Jacob, Derrick, Walt, DJ,or Zach will chime in, They have alot more experience with these amps on a daily system then I do. I will say this, if you do get these amps you won't be disappointed. These were louder in my van @ 1 ohm than a Stetsom 7kd @ 1 ohm. Plus I was clamping more wattage with the Stetsom.
  3. Looks good Derrick.
  4. Steve, now that you mention it. It was his hardcore that clamped more. Regardless he is loud! I think he should try the Sundowns in his jeep. They come alive on 16 volts. I don't know what his ohm load is, but if it will work out, 2 1500's on 16 volts will be louder then his 3 Opti's.
  5. Thanks Steve, Derrick's jeep is loud. I think he was clamping about 4500-4600 watts though and he is on 16 volts. No doubt he is loud! I probably won't keep the record long, he will more than likely take on the 18th. It was a good match. I had more but only needed .1 to win.
  6. Thanks Jacob and Derrick. Yes the van has 2 Saz-1500d's on 2 18's. The actual power is 3500-3600 watts total.
  7. Thanks Walt. It was good meeting you. Now if I can figure out how to get 6 more 1500's, 12 more batts. The batts I can get really cheap.
  8. Derrick, do you know what model Fred's clamp meter is? Mine reads a little higher, if I multiply X .707 its dead on. Mine is suppose to be true rms but I don't think it is.
  9. Thanks Jacob. It was nice to finally meet you.
  10. Thanks Derrick, It was nice meeting you. All of Team Sundown brought the deebeez!!!
  11. NSPL Wall 2501-5000 class new record 156.9. http://s627.photobucket.com/albums/tt351/dbrevolution/?action=view&current=100_2659.flv
  12. Ever compete in MECA?
  13. Did the amps work at all? I think if it were the rca's it would protect when you first turn them on. Need alittle bit more info on your system. What subs/ohm load etc.
  14. Looks good. What part of TN do you live?
  15. Happy Birthday, Jacob
  16. Awesome score Jacob.
  17. Ok for the Nspl show. 107 VAC 44 AC amps 4708 watts Imp. rise to 2.43 ohms SPL
  18. Its really depends on your set-up/vehicle. I am making about 5500 watts with a strapped pair. And that is on 12 volts.
  19. Been doing some testing for an upcoming NSPL show. What kind of VAC and AC amps are most of you getting out of 2 1500's strapped? And I some more pics if anyone is interested.
  20. Looks great Dave. I think I need some more Second Skin for the van.
  21. It has been done. Brantley Waites Ford Econoline 12 Stroker 15's, Ed Eason Dodge don't remember what he had, The old Cerwin Vega Econoline 12 18's, Bobby Riley I think it was a Chevy van. If my memory serves me right, all of these vans were capable of over 170 db. They all have been retired for some time now. Brantley was the first person to ever do a 160 db's, at a show.
