I don't think that's a bad score for sealed up and a daily box. I'm sure with some of these guys suggestions you'll be able to get where you want though. I just got metered for the first time yesterday and now I have the spl bug, haha.

I was powering a pair of 10'' icons with 500w each and it got them moving pretty well. I agree with the suggestion of the saz2000d though, it's always nice to have some headroom.

Why do you want to go smaller? Because whenever I had someone in there with me they would complain on how cramped they were. The new box is 2.75'' shallower at the top, .5'' shallower at the bottom, 1.5'' taller, and 2'' less wide. Since it is only 28'' wide the lowest I could tune to was 40hz because I had to allow 4'' in between the sub and port. I'll get some pics up of the new box tomorrow.

I put the new box in the other day and I'm liking it so far, 1.5@40 with a side firing 4'' aero. I met up with a ca.com member and metered it today...142.2 in the passenger kick with the driver's door open on music...reg cab trucks and sealed on the dash don't go well together haha.

What is your ssf set at on your amp?

Have you messed around with the settings on the 1000/1? It took me a while to get mine dialed in on my 10'' BL. Should be enough power to get that BL moving pretty well so I would think the settings are off somehow, also a new deck would make a difference.

What truck do you have? A pair of 10s ported off some good power would be what I would put in a reg cab truck if I had the space. It isn't easy to fit 2.5-3cubes, two amps, and a spare battery in a reg cab truck though....unless you have a ram or something similar.

It does get pretty loud for what it is but I know it can be even louder. What do you have in your truck?
