For most of them inductance won't matter because of the one note woofers they already use. It's not necessarily coil size, but length right? If you take a very wide coil like the JL TW5 with it's 5.5" coil, but it's a very small wind height so inductance probably isn't a big problem as I'm willing to bet there is about the same amount of copper in it's coil vs. a "typical" 3" coil.

4" coils would be instering to see, not that many 4" coil subs right now. least not that many i know of or can name off the top of my head. I just ask since 4" coils are in Fi's arsenal now. The SMD uses a 4" coil, granted it's on a crazy former. The Crossfire XSv2 subs also use 4" coils, fyi Fi has something to do with this sub as well. The only problem is the baskets.

^ Exactly, there is a huge probl;em with weight with a 6" coil. SPL is about efficiency, adding weight where it doesn't need to be is not going to happen.
