Start with the iPod at 25%, and work your way up from there. If you get to 75% volume and still have no usable output form the sub we've established that the stock HU, RCA's, and LOC are still good.

If it's setup properly, the people in the back will be able to hear just fine. You can get rears, it will much up your sound stage but if you aren't worried about it go for it Bravox should have both sizes you need, 6.5" and 5.25".

^^ Smoothing the surfaces in the vehicle. There are old SPL builds where a guy used ceramic tiles to cover everything in his vehicle but his seats and the windshield, I don't recall his exact numbers but it was amazing for it's time, shattered records then and still beats 95% of people now days.
